Ultimate Fight Night 13 Betting Odds
2008-04-01 05:54:00 The books were a little slow on releasing their numbers, but there are some interesting opportunities in this unbelievably packed fight card. Not to gloat but I will be in Colorado to enjoy this one live. Which means I'm Heading out in 8 hours so I'm going with a very reduced analysis. I'm only going to cover the fights I'm betting on, besides I doubt any of you want to read about 12!! different match ups.I'm going to run through how I come up with my own probabilities for fights to decide if there is value in each bet. It's definitely tough to pick the strongest bet on this card. There are obviously some lopsided match ups, but of course the odds on those are -600 to -800, not what I'm looking for. I've picked three fights to bet on, but there are many options just do your research and shop those odds folks.Frankie Edgar (-160 Sportsbook) vs Gray Maynard (+130 Sportsbook)Decision: 65% chance of happening, Edgar wins this outcome 65 % of the time. There's a pretty good chanc...
I’m a Moron - Ultimate Fight Night 13 Correction
2008-03-18 02:26:00 Wow, I feel like a total ass… In my last post regarding Ultimate Fight Night 13 - UFN 13 I screwed up. Wait.. Okay , I totally f’ed up on this one… I stated that K Flow is the underdog because… I clearly have a lot to learn in the betting world and misinterpreted the + and - signs. So here’s the correction, Lauzon is the underdog.. As Griffin and just1fix astutely point out in the comments section, the negative sign is the amount you have to bet to win $100 and the plus sign is how much you win if you bet $100… wow, I totally suck at this. Sorry for the mixed, like I said, I’m a total newb, thanks for pointing out my mistake… Having said that, my money is definitely on Lauzon, put down a hundie and if he wins, take home 180, sounds like a sure bet. Thanks again for the correction - I’m an ass.
Ultimate Fight Night (UFN) 13 Betting Odds - Joe Lauzon Favored to Win Figh
2008-03-17 17:24:00 I’ve never been much of a betting man, but I become more interested in betting odds when UFC 82 came around. I learned a little bit about the odds and made my prediction for the night, which was on the money. So today I checked out the odds for Ultimate Fight Night 13 on Bet Us and this is what we’re looking at: Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon odds Florian (-220) Lauzon (+180) Karo Parisyan vs. Thiago Alves odds Parisyan (-180) Alves (+150) Spencer Fisher vs. Marcus Aurelio odds Fisher (-115) Aurelio (-115) Can this be right? Same odds, looks odd, no pun intended. I’m a total newb, so let me know… Put down 180 to make 100 on Joe Lauzon? I’m pretty confident that Joe’s going to finish Kenny, this will be a great fight. If I had to make a bet of all three, I’d put my money on Lauzon for the Lauzon vs Kenny Flo fight.
Ultimate Fight Night 12 Salaries - Who Took Home the Most Bread?
2008-01-27 00:55:00 In the aftermath of a UFC event, one of the most interesting things that I like to check up on are the injuries from the event and the cha ching salaries. The results of Ultimate Fight Night 12 (UFN 12) have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The results… Nate Diaz brought home the most dough, 30 big ones, while Alvin Robinson brought home $7,000. Second runner up, Patrick Cote, $28,000, McFedries, 10 grand to take it on the chin. Swick, the main event, $20,000 over Burkman’s $10,000. Some fights that weren’t air - Corey Hill, 16k, Matt Wiman, 16k and Gray Maynard, 16k.
Ultimate Fight Night 12 Josh Burkman vs Mike Swick Fight Results
2008-01-27 00:41:00 So what did you think about Ultimate Fight Night 12 that recently aired on Spike TV? Some good fights right? The Mike Swick vs Josh Burkman fight wasn’t exciting, but Swick should be happy with his performance. I know that he looked a bit bummed after the fight. He’s use to having some insane victories, like the time he knocked out Gideon Ray, or the time he submitted Joe Riggs, or the beating he put on David Loiseau. However, although nothing exciting happened, Swick put up some great defense against a guy who’s known for big take downs / slams. Not being taken down once, that’s something to be proud of. So what was all of the booing for? Both fighters were swigging for the fences… simply nothing connected for a big KO. Although the Swick vs Burkman fight wasn’t that thrilling, The Patrick Cote vs Drew McFedries fight was exciting an a bit of an upset, Alvin Robinson vs Nate Diaz? Nate Diaz really surprised me, his ground game is...

Corey Hill to take on Joe Veres Ultimate Fight Night 12
2007-11-30 03:01:00 A little over a week ago, we announced that The Ultimate Fighter contestant Corey Hill will debut at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 12, on January 23, 2008. We recently learned that Corey is scheduled to match up with Joe Veres. Like many other great fighters including Rich Franklin and Tim Silva, Veres fights out of Ohio. Ultimate Fight Night 11 UFC Payouts - Cummo Takes in the Dough
2007-09-21 20:24:00 Here are the payouts from the Ultimate Fight Night 11 (UFN 11) show that premiered on Wednesday night. To my surprise, Luke Cummo brought in the biggest pay check at $32,000 for his fight against Crocota. Second runner up was Nate Diaz at $30,000 and finally Thiago Alves at $28,000. Quite honestly I was surprised by these numbers, especially surprised to see Joe Veres get $3,000 to get Knocked the f’ Out By Gray Maynard. Here’s the full break down of the pay outs. Kenny Florian ($22,000) def. Din Thomas ($16,000) Chris Leben ($20,000) def. Junior Assuncao Versus Nate Diaz Ultimate Fight Night Match
2007-09-20 03:47:00 The fight was much of a grappling chess match. Scrappy Nate Diaz was the aggressor of the exchanges, while Junior Assuncao spent much of his time trying to counter Nate’s attempts. After battling back and forth on the ground, both men get to their feet and Nate throws a flurry of punches rocking and stunning Junior. Nate then goes to the ground with Junior and finishes him with a Guillotine Choke in the first.

Last Reminder Ultimate Fight Night and The Ultimate Fighter 6 on Spike TV
2007-09-19 18:35:00 I know everyone’s talking about it, so this will be the last reminder from me for the day. Don’t forget to watch Ultimate Fight Night 9 on Spike TV tonight, followed up with the premier of Team Hughes vs. Team Serra, The Ultimate Fighter 6 TV Reality show. Everyone made weight for the Ultimate Fight Night, including Terry Martin, who I’m extremely interested in seeing fight Chris Leben. Martin has lost some considerable weight and I’m eager to see how it affects his stand up. Here’s a preview trailer of The Ultimate Fighter 6 to get you siked up! YouTube Direktvideo link

2007-09-12 13:20:00 Ultimate Fight Night 9 is just around the corner. This event will take place on September 19th at 9PM EST on Spike TV. The match ups look awesome! The main card will include Kenny Florian versus Din Thomas. 2007-09-12 06:05:00 UFC Fight Night 11, will air September 19 on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The main event between Kenny Florian and Din Thomas is a much better fight than the originally planned Fisher vs Thomas fight. There are a number of other fights that should be very tight matchups. Ultimate Fight Night 11: TUFers Make A Splash
2007-09-11 22:37:00 Despite the appearances of Chris Leben and Nate Quarry, two of the most disappointing TUF alums, UFC Fight Night 11 is shaping up to be a decent card with four other (physically competent) TUFers.Kenny Florian, TUF 1 finalist and participant in an awesome bloodbath with current LW Champ Sean Sherk, will take on Din Thomas in the main event of the evening. This should be a great fight, with both guys looking for one last push in their respective careers. Both are good fighters and both have suffered some big losses in the UFC. Recently, they've been exhibiting winning ways and they'll collide on their way back to the top in a very uncertain LW division. It's anyones for the taking and these two guys are well aware of that fact. The TUF 5 winner Nate Diaz will face his first real test in Brazilian Junior Assuncao. Even though his Gamburyan win was less than impressive, Diaz was without a doubt the most technically impressive fighter on the series. After all, his brother is Gog...

Ultimate Fight Night 11 Dustin Hazelett in Mike Swick Out
2007-09-07 20:26:00 The UFC announced that Mike Swick had to withdraw from Ultimate Fight Night 11 (UFN 11) due to a rib injury. Swick was scheduled to fight Jonathan Goulet at the upcoming event. Welterweight Dustin Hazelett will take Mike Swick’s place for this fight. For those of you who are not familiar with Hazelett, he is currently a 9 and 3 fighter. He has fought in 3 UFC events, loosing only his first event to Tony DeSouza back in 2006. We’ve included a video of Hazelett fighting Chad Reiner at the end of this post. The quality isn’t great, but better than nada. “The welterweight debut of Mike Swick will have to wait after the former middleweight contender was forced to withdraw from September 19th’s UFC Fight Night show in Las Vegas with a rib injury. Stepping up to the plate to face Jonathan Goulet at The Palms will be up and comer Dustin Hazelett. UFC Fight Night, which features the lightweight battle between Din Thomas and Kenny Florian, airs li...
Brooke Hogan and Hulk Hogan Attend Ultimate Fight Night Pics
2007-08-30 21:10:00 Was surfing the net and came across pictures of Brooke Hogan and her father Hulk Hogan attending the last Ultimate Fight Night. I know from the Bubba The Love Sponge Show and Howard Stern that Brooke Hogan recently released an album titled “Undiscovered” which made the US Billboard Charts with 60,000 copies sold. This came out around the same time as the event, so maybe they like the UFC, maybe it’s for publicity, who knows, who care - the UFC and MMA in general is blowing up!
