2008-07-20 03:25:00 The Second Pre-Season match has ended in a 1-1 draw with the Kaizer Chiefs.Six of the players starting today started in the Champion's League final which just shows that it was a strong line-up put out by Ferguson.Kuszczak was back from injury but unfortunetly Rio Ferdinand had to pull out just before the match with minor back spasms.Rooney almost gave us the lead with just 10 minutes gone but his freekick went flying over the bar.Vidic also had a good chance when his header went wide, if it was on target it would have been a goal.The Kaizer Chiefs went infront with a penalty given away by Gary Neville, Siphiwe Tshabalala slotted it into the back of the net.Before the penalty it has really been one way traffic by United, we didnt have loads of chances but we had most of the possession and looked comfortable.Second half and we definetly had to be a bit more urgent.We got our equaliser in the 59th minute by Chris Eagles, after his header was deflected by Jimmy Tau.Our fitness was a l...

2008-06-03 16:31:00 The good folks at the Los Gatos United Soccer League are asking for the help of the townsfolk to help them find their older golf cart, which is used by president of the league, Ed San Juan, for picking up trash cans after soccer games at Fisher. Families and friends of the many players who've enjoyed the field at Fisher (including my family) have appreciated having the cans brought out to the field and the 1991 Yamaha was a good way to transport them on and off the field for the game times. Last seen Thursday evening, the golf cart was discovered missing on Saturday morning in an area littered with about 20 used, empty beer cans. Police were called to the scene and state that bolt cutters were used to get the golf cart loose. Description of cart: "It's a weathered white 1991 Yamaha gas golf cart (nothing fancy), it has a top with a front windshield, and a black flat-bed used for picking up garbage."
