Hello Webmeister, I've now spent around 5 minutes attempting to unsubscribe without success. Perhaps you can do the deed for me rather than sending me in web loops. If you do not, I will make other arrangements for it to be done by others. To my erstwhile fellow engineer-subscribers, all I
Did You Ever Wonder If There Was A Global UnSubscribe Spam List?
2008-06-03 18:03:00
If you?ve ever wondered if there was a way to globally unsubscribe to spammers and spam list, you?re out of luck. There is no such thing.  I was researching this topic today and found a fairly authoritative answer at SpamHaus (SpamHaus is one of the ?Big-Guns? working to reduce email spam) .   SpamHaus points out a number of so-called ?spam removal? services being run by seemingly would-be do-gooders are, in fact, SPAM or Email Collectors themselves.  They state that ?Any system that wants money in exchange for removing your address from a spammer?s list is a scam?.   ~Seems logical to me. The biggest con of them all seems to be the Direct Marketing Associations ?spam opt-out service?.  SpamHaus states that the very mission of the group is to ?advance the interest of junk-email senders.?  They go on to state that some sites literally ?spray? hundreds of millions of emails out per day. What about sending a ?Re...

Amnesty 'Unsubscribe Me' camp
2008-04-24 00:00:00

Reasons Why Readers Unsubscribe
2008-03-16 18:25:00
I would like to list a few reasons why readers unsubscribe from RSS and comment briefly on them. This will help you to avoid any mistakes you might make.A reason for readers unsubscribing is ironically posting too often. People don?t usually want to receive multiple posts per day, but on the other hand what can a writer do, if he is inspired to write about something. Too much self promotion is why many subscribers decide to unsubscribe. Nobody likes people with a big ego, so no wonder that some people might get annoyed.Making personal attacks in posts. Many readers would probably feel like in a middle of a fight.Readers sometimes change their interests and I think there is nothing you can really do about it.In the future I might still discuss some additional reasons, as this is an interesting topic.

11 Reasons why Readers Unsubscribe from RSS #3
2007-11-28 19:09:00
This is the final part and I am listing here my last thoughts about the subject:Various feed errors might force a reader to unsubscribe. Personally I am using the services of FeedBurner and I trust that there are no errors.Change of blogger happens when a blog is sold and when there is a new owner. In such a case readers might unsubscribe as they might not like the writing style of the new writer.Too many posts that are too long. It depends of the niche and readers I suspect, but I know that many visitors like concise posts, especially those who don?t have a lot of time.Off topic posting is another major reason why people unsubscribe. Changing the topic of your blog rapidly, for example from a blog about movies to a personal blog/diary might alienate the subscribers.

11 Reasons why Readers Unsubscribe from RSS #1
2007-11-27 15:55:00
Having a lot of RSS subscribers is a sign that people actually appreciate your blog and is a source of personal satisfaction. That is why in additional to working on new subscribers, it is crucial not to lose the current ones. Here are some reasons why readers unsubscribe:Not interesting content. Of course it is a matter of opinion if the content is interesting or not, but this is one of the main reasons people unsubscribe. This is also one of the hardest problems to fix, as you can?t please everyone at the same time. Not posting for a long time. If a subscriber suspects that you abandoned your blog, no wonder that he will be tempted to unsubscribe. Try posting at least once or twice every week.Making personal attacks often in posts. Many readers would probably feel like in a middle of a fight.Stay tuned for part two!
Blogs: Why Readers Unsubscribe
2007-11-16 09:47:00
Not too recently, I read a post about why people unsubscribe from blogs. This is a relatively big problem especially if your blog is supported by advertisements, (for example, Google AdSense) and you’re trying to make somewhat of an earning. Now, alot of people may not agree that blogs provide lucrative profits - and for ...

How to Unsubscribe from mailing lists:
2007-10-21 18:50:00
I'm sure you've received messages from mailing lists and wanted to unsubscribe. Perhaps you don't remember subscribing in the first place, or maybe you've just grown tired of the subject. For whatever reason, you just want to get off the list, and you want off fast.On virtually every list, it is common practice to put the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of every message (Yahoo groups, also called egroups, is an exception in that sometimes there are no unsubscribe instructions at all). You simply do what is described and you will be removed from the list.In most cases, a simple blank email to an email address or a clicked link is all you need to do. Sometimes you need to include the word "remove" or "unsubscribe" in the subject or body of the message. It just depends upon the conventions of the list. Now, this article only applies to mailing lists to which you have subscribed (opt-in). Before you click on any link or send an email off to parts unknown that the message is no...

Don't use that unsubscribe feature
2007-09-12 08:24:00
So you got that unwanted spam mail in your mailbox. You decide to unsubscribe your email by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the mail itself.BEWARE !!! If you do that, you might make the spam company aware that your email address is valid and active!RESULT???Instead of getting unsubscribed, you start getting even more spam mails!!SOLUTION?Use the spam feature of your email instead. Yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc do provide this feature. If this still bothers you, use the block feature ( if your email provides it). For example, Yahoo provides a blacklist feature for unwelcome mail. In the blacklist feature, if u don?t want email from "spammer.com", just type spammer.com into the blocking address box, and any email address from ?@spammer.com? will be blocked. More info on this blacklist feature can be found on this link.
Email Marketing - What Pushes the Unsubscribe Button
2007-08-24 13:02:00
Building and maintaining ever growing email list is probably the most valid sign for web marketing mastership. A lot of marketers are talking about five and six figure income, but very few of them are mentioning their email list numbers and their unsubscribe rate correctly. And it is easy understandable – maybe nothing to be proud with. The Nightmare of the Email Marketing Manager Doubtless,
