Zambrano Injury Update/Cub Of The Week
2009-05-04 19:08:00 Damn. Bruce Levine reported today on ESPN radio that Zambrano's MRI revealed a slight hamstring strain and that the Cubs will most likely DL him. I'm not sure how to feel about this. On the one hand, I hate to DL a player who could be ready to go after missing one start. On the other, a) I think Lou realizes that he has to protect Carlos from himself; and b) it's not like Carlos has been lights out for us this season. I think I'd be more upset losing Lilly or Harden for a start. One thing we all love about Carlos is his 110%, all-out, "I wanna do it! I wanna do it!" attitude about baseball. In an age of over-paid, over-hyped player who have an entourage of trainers and who won't play unless they feel 100%, Carlos is refreshing, much like the giant fountain Diet Coke I'm currently enjoying.
