I was most eager to see their collection of American art. As we approached the building we were surprised by its architecture. The main building was a square, gray concrete, ultra modern structure with a few unusually shaped small windows. I was not sure if I liked it. Actually, I was sure I did not like it. We entered the main lobby just as the museum opened that day. This made purchasing the tickets (fifteen dollars) quite easy. In no time, we were waiting by the main elevator on our way to the top floor. Prior to this activity, we needed to grab a bite to eat. Breakfast is our favorite meal of the day. Our hotel concierge put together a list of worthwhile breakfast destinations on the Upper East Side. A quick taxi ride brought us initially to Cafe Sabarsky at the Neue Gallerie. They stopped serving breakfast at 11am and we were really in the mood for some eggs and pancakes. A few blocks away was Sarabeth's so we mosied down to its location on Madison and 92nd. The outside of the restaurant was really cute.
