Uriah Heep Releasing First New Album in Ten Years
2008-03-09 18:05:00 Uriah Heep is set to release its first album of original material in ten years. Wake the Sleeper is expected June 2 on Universal.The album was recorded last year under the production of Mike Paxman who has also worked with Status Quo. The line up for the group has Mick Box on guitar, Trevor Bolder on bass, Phil Lanzon on keyboards, Bernie Shaw on lead vocals and Russell Gilbrook on drums. Gilbrook replaces Lee Kerslake who left in January of last year because of poor health.Mick Box states, "We are delighted to be reunited with a major label in Universal music. Wake The Sleeper is an album we are incredibly proud of, and one that we hope the fans will see as one of Uriah Heep's best.
