When Entertainment Weekly’s Jeff Jensen ">recently proposed that HEROES “trim the fat by either killing some top-tier HEROES (hello, genuine life-and-death stakes!) or giving one or two a permanent happy ending.” this wasn’t exactly what we had in mind. Over the weekend, HEROES executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb, two writers who have been with the show since day one, were fired over creative differences and budgetary concerns. Reports Variety’s Cynthia Littleton, “It’s understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of Peacock execs’ frustration with the creative direction of the show. I have always wondered which TV characters would qualify as genuine villains. After a lot of debating and soul-searching, I have narrowed this down to five candidates who take the prize of Top TV Villains. So without further ado, in ascending order, here are the five most evil TV characters on television Today: #5. Lex Luthor from Smallville Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) kills, schemes and manipulates anybody to get what he wants. He fooled Lana Lang into marrying him by making her think she was pregnant. One of the CIA agents on the show owns an iPhone, and later on in one episode a criminal gets his hands on it, and is shown using it. It looks like your average product placement advertising, right? For as long as I can remember, I have been a fan of villains. Star Wars was one of my earliest obsessions, with Darth Vader clearly my favorite character. When the Batman craze hit during my teen years, I became an expert in all things Joker.
