Indian visitor upset over Gandhi statue position at Tussauds
2008-06-07 08:09:00 AHMEDABAD: Not happy with the placement of Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Madam Tussauds, a man from Gujarat after his first visit to the famous wax museum has written to Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown to shift it from that position. V K Saxena of National Council of Civic Liberties in his letter to Brown said the statue is not placed in the wing where the statues of other illustrious world leaders are exhibited. Gandhi's statue is placed at an isolated corner on the second floor near an ice cream parlour close to the dustbin, Saxena wrote in his letter. Thousands of visitors who use this parlour throw away waste into the bin which often spills out near the statue, he said. He requested Brown to take immediate action to see that this anomaly is rectified. Saxena has also sent copies of his letter to all national leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition L K Advani.Source: economictimes

One of my tenants apparently left the appartment on & off for the last 3-5 months to another person not in the lease without informing me. When I confronted her she states that the other person does not ever more than 21 days but this is not true as the neighboring tenants say that she is never there. She continues to pay the rent under her name & the utilities are still under her name.I would like to evict her but I don't know how I can make it legal without her fighting the eviction.PS all her neighbors didn't ever like her anyway. She was once late 16 days for rent & I sent her a 3-day notice & also a late charge fee. She ignored both.I need your advice on how to evict her.

2008-02-26 15:16:00 Most people who have spent any time in London in the past few years will be aware of Oyster cards, small plastic cards which can be loaded with money and used to pay for travel on the capital's public transport system.Yesterday's free London paper Metro carried a story about Visitor Oyster cards – much like regular Oysters but available at coach ticket offices throughout the UK, "which allows coach travellers to buy their Oyster card before they even arrive in the capital".The story continues:The Visitor Oyster card comes pre-loaded with pay as you go and is ready for passengers to use as soon as they arrive in central London.The pay as you go money on the card never runs out so people can use any money left over for future visits to London or pass it to friends and family visiting the capital.The money never runs out? Brilliant – free transport for ever. Sadly, judging by the rest of par I think the reporter means 'expires' rather than 'runs out'...And don't get me start...
