2008-06-05 04:14:00 So, Coldplay's new album leaked today. It's... not great. It's not awful, but it's by far their weakest album yet. This was supposed to be the album where they stretch their limits, but 2/3 of the album is just so shockingly boring. And I was never one of the people that thought they were boring before. I thought "Parachutes" had a lot of great songwriting, "X&Y" was sonically flawless, and "Rush of Blood" was a nice balance of the two, but this new album just doesn't have anything worth connecting to. The only really surprising, intriguing, memorable song in the whole set was "Yes!/Chinese Sleep Chant". Ebbene, per chi fa parte della categoria degli ignari a tal proposito, oggi si celebra il 62° anniversario della nascita della Repubblica, avvenuta in seguito ai risultati del referendum popolare del 2 giugno 1946, che la vide vincitrice sulla Monarchia con un margine di appena 2 milioni di voti. Ed ancora oggi c'è chi parla di brogli elettorali e di vizi di forma (non poterono votare quelli che si trovavano nei campi di prigionia o di internamento all'estero, i 3 milioni di cittadini del Venezia-Giulia).
