Supreme Court Rules With Ohio Secretary of State on Voter Fraud Rules
2008-10-17 19:22:00
This has to be one of the dumber moves by the USSC I’ve ever seen… and trust me they’ve screwed up enough in my lifetime to make that count for something… The U.S. Supreme Court agreed with Democratic Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, granting her a stay on Friday to a temporary restraining order from the 6th Circuit Court that ordered her to provide a system for implementing voter fraud prevention methods. The decision by the full court repudiates the lower court’s ruling siding with the Ohio Republican Party and ordering Brunner to verify records of about 200,000 of 666,000 new voters this year whose driver’s license and Social Security records don’t match information in other government databases. What the court has done here is empower those employing voter fraud. And yes, I include Brunner in that group. ACORN?s 15 State Strategy for Voter Fraud
2008-10-15 07:21:00
-By Ken Marrero Much has been made of the Democrats 50 state strategy to win the election.  Who knew there was a fall back 15 state strategy to steal it if they couldn’t win it? Americans who haven’t heard about ACORN and voter fraud haven’t been paying attention. Some have been hearing about it for years. Others ...
More Milwaukee Voter Fraud? Name that Party?
2008-09-04 10:29:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Milwaukee has discovered some more voter fraud with 10 more voter registration workers are being investigated by Wisconsin authorities. Fittingly, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel covered the story in its paper on August 29. Unfittingly, the Journal Sentinel forgot one, tiny aspect of the story… that the voter fraud was perpetrated by Democrats. ...
The Myth of Voter Fraud
2008-05-13 16:20:00
New York Times Editorial There is no evidence that voting by noncitizens is a significant problem. Illegal immigrants do their best to remain in the shadows, to avoid attracting government attention and risking deportation. It is hard to imagine that many would walk into a polling place, in the presence of challengers and police, and try to cast a ballot. There is, however, ample evidence that a requirement of proof of citizenship will keep many eligible voters from voting. Many people do not have birth certificates or other acceptable proof of citizenship, and for some people, that proof is not available. One Missouri voter, Lillie Lewis, said at a news conference last week that officials in Mississippi, where she was born, told her they had no record of her birth. Proof of citizenship is just one of an array of new barriers to voting that have been springing up across the country. Indiana adopted a tough new photo ID voting requirement, over objections from Democrats that it wo...

Texas Prosecutes Little Old Ladies for Voter Fraud, Let's Republican Ballot
2008-03-31 19:32:00
AlterNet Willie Ray was a 69-year-old African-American City Council member from Texarkana who wanted her granddaughter, Jamillah Johnson, to learn about civil rights and voting during the 2004 presidential election. The pair helped homebound seniors citizens get absentee ballots, and once they were filled out, put them in the mail. Fort Worth's Gloria Meeks, 69, was a church-going, community activist who proudly ran a phone bank and helped homebound elderly people like Parthenia McDonald, 79, to vote by mail. McDonald, whose mailbox was two blocks away from her home (she recently died), called Meeks "an angel" for helping her, a friend of both women said. And until he recently moved out of state, Walter Hinojosa, a retired school teacher and labor organizer from Austin, was another Democratic Party volunteer who helped elderly and disabled people vote by getting them absentee ballots and mailing them. Today, Ray and Johnson have criminal records for breaking Texas election law ...
"Myth" of Voter Fraud Focus of Senate Hearing
2008-03-12 07:20:00
by Jason Leopold Last year, during the height of the Congressional investigation into the firings of US attorneys, David Iglesias and John McKay, two of the nine federal prosecutors who were ousted, revealed that they were pressured by Republicans to bring charges of vote fraud against people who intended to voter for Democrats in separate elections in New Mexico and Washington state several years ago. Iglesias and McKay said they investigated the allegations but did not find evidence to support charges of voter fraud leveled by Republicans. Both men believe their refusal to convene a federal criminal grand jury to pursue the allegations led to their ouster. There is no concrete evidence of systemic voter fraud in the United States. Many election integrity experts believe voter fraud is a ploy by Republicans to suppress minorities and poor people from voting. Historically, those groups tend to vote for Democratic candidates. Raising red flags about the integrity of t...

Indictments in New Mexico Voter Fraud Case
2007-03-30 05:09:00
Former state senate president Manny Aragon (D-Albuquerque) and three others were charged with corruption today in a voter fraud investigation which has received national attention due to phone calls made by two Republican members of New Mexico's congressional delegation to allegedly press for indictments during the runup to last November's elections. Three others, including a former Albuquerque mayor, have pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of mail fraud in plea agreements which were unsealed today. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathon Gerson in Albuquerque said the 26-count indictment handed up Thursday stemmed from an investigation that has lasted more than a year. "We handled this as we would have handled any other case," Gerson said. "We handled this matter professionally without attention being paid to outside influence." Charged with conspiracy, mail fraud and money laundering Thursday were Aragon; former metro court administrator Toby Martinez; Raul Par...
