Wade Redden a fool to take pay cut

Former Boston Bruins' GM Harry Sinden underpaid Bourque for years, with the Hall of Famer's tacit approval.Redden should be thinking of himself as an important commodity whose value shouldn't be set by upper management.This is 2007, after all, where player loyalty is rewarded by an impromptu trade to Edmonton and hockey is considered big business.His comments, though, must have NHLPA executive director Paul Kelly shaking his head in disgust. Redden taking a salary reduction to stay with the Senators is a huge blow to the players' cause.In succession, Redden's teammates Dany Heatley, Mike Fisher and Jason Spezza have all cashed in.
