2007-10-18 19:18:00 CNews ISLAMABAD: An 11-member bench of the Supreme Court hearing petitions against the legality of president General Pervez Musharraf?s October 6 election will give a verdict within two weeks, the head of the bench Justice Javed Iqbal said Thursday after a three-hour session the court adjourned the hearing till October 22 (Monday). Ch.Aitzaz Ahsan, appearing as counsel of Justice (Retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed requested the bench to adjourn the case till the announcement of detailed judgement in constitutional petitions of Imran Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami and others. 2007-10-04 16:49:00 CNews ISLAMABAD: A 10-member larger bench of the Supreme Court adjourned hearing of the constitutional petitions, challenging validation of General Musharraf?s nomination papers in the presidential election, till tomorrow (Friday).Counsel of Justice Wajihuddin, Hamid Khan Advocate in his arguments Thursday pleaded for stay order about presidential election. Attorney General Malik Qayyum opposed the plea and contended that the presidential election being held in accordance with the constitution and the law. Justice Javed Iqbal said that the plea for stay order will be decided tomorrow.
