They're one of two Birmingham bands right now (the other is Now I Have a Machine Gun) that I feel are representing the best of what Birmingham has to offer as far as the musicians in the band, and are making the effort to tour and prove that Birmingham has a lot more to it than rednecks or Christian hardcore kids. I finally got to see this band for the first time a little over a week ago when I visited Birmingham for the first time in a while. They played a house show and the crowd was pretty nuts considering the close quarters and Alabama heat. Their show last night in Chicago (w/their tourmates Die Young, Ceremony, Life Long Tragedy, the Muzzler, and Sabertooth Zombie) was top-notch. 2008-05-26 07:49:00 We were babysitting for my SIL a few years back. Our nephew at that time was about 4years old. We got a room ready for him and we persuaded him to sleep on his own. Azri, although a bit reluctant, was up to it, after seeing how bright and cheery the room was. We also had his toys around him so I guess he was very comfortable. What he did not know was that we were peeking at him through one of the windows. He actually looked sad but he did sleep on his own that night.Then around 4am, there was a knock on our door. It was Azri asking us if it was already day. We told him that it was still early. It was then that he requested to sleep with us. We can't say no, can we, after the effort he put up the night before? That is a 3.6 percent increase in job growth since March of last year. While the national unemployment rate was 5.1 percent for March, the unemployment rate for the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill) was 4.2 percent. And while housing sales for the month of March 2008 were down 29% compared to last March, the average sales priced increased 2% to $259,301.
