2008-01-20 05:56:00 The 3rd phase of spiritual warfare encompasses resistance. Although the bible says “resist the Devil and he will flee” it is virtually impossible to fully understand how one is to do this on a daily basis without reading around the subject. Keeping yourself free from temptations is not the resistance that is meant in the biblical sense, although it is the first step in keeping yourself daily in right-standing with the Lord. The resisting that you will be doing, is more to do with the spiritual aspect of the warfare. It's actually to do with how you “wrestle” and fight with the spirits that come against you in the dreamscapes that you will encounter. Penn-Lewis says that we resist by refusing the dreams that the Devil gives us. That means we accept none of the dreams or nocturnal experiences we have.
