Have you ever wanted to paint in watercolors? The Alley Pond Environmental Center, 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston will sponsor a Watercolor Workshop starting March 6, 2008 for both beginners as well as advanced painters. Award-winning artist Diane Lieberman will lead this weekly workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 6, 13, and 20 and then continuing April 3, 10, and 17. The cost is $ 100 per person with an additional $ 3 due the first class toward the cost of additional materials. Each workshop session will focus on technique and composition and include a demonstration and weekly critique. Attention will be paid to each student's development of individual style and expression. Pre-registration is required and class is limited to 14 participants. For additional details and to register, call (718) 229-4000.
