After you throw it, it opens a parachute so it can land in the right direction for it detonate properly and detonate its armor-piercing weaponry. This weapon has killed a number of US troops this year.It is typically thrown from crowds in Baghdad, and it is almost impossible to figure out who threw it. There is considerable blowback from the weapon, which is often tossed at short distance, so in the video you can see the throwers running away as soon as they throw the thing.
