Tiffany Hayes Named Big East Player of the Week
2012-01-30 19:58:00 It should come as no surprise after her performance last week that UConn Huskies women's basketball senior guard Tiffany Hayes was named Big East Player of the Week. Here's the release: STORRS, Conn. - Senior guard Tiffany Hayes earned her first BIG EAST weekly accolade of her senior season as she was tabbed the BIG EAST Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday. This marks the senior's first Player of the Week nod of her career after bringing home three Freshman of the Week accolades in 2009. Hayes receives the award after a superb week where she tallied back-to-back 30-plus performances in wins over Syracuse and South Florida in a 2-0 week for the Huskies. Hayes has scored 68 points over UConn's last two games, marking the most points a Husky has scored in back-to-back contests all-time. USD Bearish Ahead of Heavy Trading Week
2012-01-30 09:04:00 Source: ForexYard USD Bearish Ahead of Heavy Trading Week The US dollar closed last week on a bearish note, as it took significant losses against most of its main currency rivals, including the euro and Japanese yen. The dollar began to decline during the middle of the week, following an announcement from the Fed saying that record low US interest rates would likely remain for the next several years. A softer than expected US Advanced GDP figure on Friday only caused the currency to drop further. This week, all eyes will be on the US Non-Farm Payrolls figure. Should the figure come in below expectations, the dollar will likely extend its bearish trend. Economic News USD – . . . → Read More: USD Bearish Ahead of Heavy Trading Week

Been a Long Week
2012-01-29 21:21:00 Rochester, NY— Been a long week, and lots going on. I can’t speak to it all, but will comment on a few things I’ve seen. Florida- Romney is outspending Newt Gingrich at the order of seven to one in Florida. And that’s going to give is predictable results there, I fear. Particularly, since the media seems to be playing along with Romney’s game. At least, for the time being. My fear, here, is that Romney, not being a conservative, will fail on the order of other moderates before him. Once that happens, the left, and the press, (but I repeat myself ) will cast that failure as a conservative failure, despite the fact that Romney is no conservative. Ultimately that will do conservatism and the country more damage than any other factor. Understand; I don’t accept the idea that anybody but Obama is what is needed. Certainly, anyone could do a better job than he can. But unless there’s a real conservative in play, and Romney isn&rsq...

GOSSIP GIRL! GLEE! DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES! The TV Addict Week in Rewind
2012-01-29 14:58:00 Most Manipulative Match: Conspiring with a priest to destroy Blair’s marriage means it’s official… GOSSIP GIRL’s Chuck is hellbound!  Least Shocking Spoiler: Entertainment Weekly reported that a “major character” would be killed off DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES in March. Not particularly earth-shattering given that the entire show will bite the dust a few months later.  Speaking Of Wisteria Lane… : Why the heck, you ask, are we still watching this increasingly lifeless show as it limps toward the grave? Completion issues.  Best Gene Pool Ever: Matt Bomer of WHITE COLLAR has been cast to play the brother of GLEE’s Darren Criss.  Intriguing Fact We Didn’t Necessarily Need To Know: PROJECT RUNWAY guru Tim Gunn hasn’t had sex in 29 years. Try unknowing that!  Most Anticipated Drama: We don’t give two hoots about the upcoming show ANGER MANAGEMENT, but we do hope someone’s smart enough to record the backstage antics of stars Charlie Sheen and Shawnee Smith. 2012-01-25 17:26:00 Lincoln Park, 1905.
