The plan at the moment is to have the gig broadcast live on Radio 1 which would definitely pull in more viewers for the radio station while further promoting the band in the UK. Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday (November 23) and although there will probably be around 75,000 seating tickets and 15,000 standing tickets going on sale I really wouldn't expect these tickets to last more than a few days, so get them while you can.

Pickett, who now lives in Old Ford Road, Victoria Park, will take on Ronnie Mann in a featherweight bout on December 1 as both men work their way towards a shot at the British title next year. A former semi-professional footballer, Pickett, 28, turned on the style in a smaller-scale Cage Rage Contenders event at the Troxy, Stepney, in August, defeating Vaughn Harvey in three rounds. Cage Rage uses an octagonal arena to stage bouts and is the fastest-growing sport in the UK. I am sure they are garnering new fans around the world but the UK fans don't seem to be any younger. Having not been to Wembley for a few years I hadn't seen the refurbishments before. The new atrium on what was the back of the arena and the stage now at the opposite end. I have to say it made a difference and makes the arena reasonably pleasant to go to.Sadly the sound hasn't been improved and the acoustics inside were as bad as ever. Having last seen them 3 years ago for the 30th Anniversary Tour and suffering Tinnitus ever since I was prepared with my ear plugs this time around! Now they weren't nearly as loud as that last show but after 3 songs I decided I had to use the plugs. It actually made an improvement to the sound. A Proud Moment to be Irish at Wembley….
2007-09-14 10:52:00 It was one of my greatest moments….not only did I beat Micky “The Meat” Quinn, I stuffed him! It was the big burger eating contest that hundreds of people turned up to see outside Wembley on Wednesday night. Afterwards some of them decided to go for a wind down at the England v Russia game in the stadium itself. It was embarassing really, I won the competition by eating a whopping two burgers! They were pretty big but I was still hungry at the end! We gave away almost 4000 free burgers to do our bit to combat rip off Wembley and they went down a storm. In fact I got so many pints bought for me by grateful fans that I think we should do it for every game - a free night out for me…..you’d take it!
