Horror Master George A. Romero Reveals Veteran Zombie Lock in ?Diary of the
2008-02-18 21:09:00
CHICAGO ? Master horror filmmaker George A. Romero is back for the fifth installment of his ?Dead? series as what began with 1968?s ?Night of the Living Dead? has fast-forwarded to ?Diary of the Dead?. This time, Romero takes on the modern soul deadening of staring at screens and includes the constant navel gazing of videotaping, computers and the instant playback that has become our lives. When a disturbing local news footage leaks onto the Internet, the cast and crew of a bad student film are interrupted in the middle of their shoot with the report that the dead have come to life and are threatening the entire population of the world. The student film director ? Jason (Joshua Close) ? sees this as an opportunity to document his fellow classmates? escape and journey back to their Pennsylvania homes. Wes Craven Introducing a New 'Signature Villain' in 25/8 - SendMeRSS

Wes Craven Introducing a New 'Signature Villain' in 25/8 Wes Craven isn't done with horror yet! The Nightmare on Elm Street, Hills Have Eyes, and Scream creator is working on a new thriller titled 25/8. The project is Craven's first original horror script since 1994 when he wrote New Nightmare. The first Scream (from 1996) was actually written by Kevin Williamson and since '94 he hasn't directed any of his own original work. Craven says that 25/8 features a new "signature villain" in the same vein as Freddy Krueger or Scream's ghost mask killer. As much as I'm excited to see Craven return again with some quality horror, I'm not expecting too much with 25/8. Rogue Pictures, the horror subsidiary of Univeral Pictures, is developing the film with Iya Labunka as producer. Production begins in April with an unannounced cast as of yet. Given Craven's current status in Hollywood, I expect he'll get a fairly solid cast set for 25/8. The film unveils a new signature villain, a ser...

Wes Craven?s: The Crud
2006-10-20 05:15:03
10 days ago I had my yearly puke. I got it out of the way so I wouldn’t have to have it hovering over me around the holidays when it would have been uncomfortable and untimely. I must have eaten some bad chicken at a local texmex eatery. Luckily I had the next day off thanks to AISD’s closing of schools for Columbus Day. It was sickeningly serendipitous. Believe it or not, I really don’t throw up much at all. I joke about it being a yearly thing because that’s about how often it happens, and it really has to be a bad case of food poisoning for me to allow myself the lizard brain reflex option. Some people throw up well; they’re quiet, quick and tactful. They can do it in between sips of wine or after a quick scurry to the loo to “powder their nose.” I’m not so fortunate. I’m nearly in need of leather restraints to keep my convulsing body from damaging itself or nearby parts of the house. I swear it comes out my ears. So...
