ZZK Stay Winning.
2009-07-01 08:52:00 Going by what I'v been posting so far this year, there's no denying I'm a big fan of what's coming out of Argentina at the moment. ZZK records are just killing it in the tropical beats department and show no signs of slowing down with a totally bullet proof roster of artists. Not so long ago they released their second edition ZZK sound, a compilation of work perfectly summing up the signature sound they have come to represent over the past year. I'm not going to offer some crazy exclusive blog track, that'd be over-kill cause all you need to do is to visit their site where you can buy any tracks you like off the comp for $1 each which is pretty damn fair. I just can't help but share something though so lets have some heat by Sonido Del Principe. This first appeared on Bersa Discos vol4 and immediately blew me away with its slow rave sound. It's now come back on ZZK vol#2 which is good because no one should be allowed to sleep.Sonido Del Principe - Cartagena. (ysi).

Simple Ideas ? key to creating winning PR campaigns ? thoughts from Cannes
2009-06-25 07:27:00 Ashwani has been reporting from Cannes and he has put up an interesting post on how to produce winning PR campaigns. What he said that I like the most was that any campaign has to be built around a central idea, an idea that is simple yet executed well. I also remember having a chat with Prema Sagar before she left for Cannes (she is the only Indian member to be part of the jury) that one of the core things that she look for will be a clear and simple idea and how that has been executed.

Winning in a Downturn
2009-06-04 14:06:00 An extract from a talk byRohit TalwarCEOFast Future1. Use scenarios to plan for an uncertain future. In this uncertain and turbulent economic climate, businesses no can longer rely on a single business plan or set of assumptions. Instead the most successful are tackling the uncertainty by using scenario planning to prepare for a wide range of possible outcomes and to identify the opportunities that could arise even in the worst case scenarios. At the same time, they are asking themselves tough questions under each scenario: - Which market segments and aspects of our business would be most at risk? - What would the implications be in terms of products, pricing and who our key customers would be? - What resources should we keep or let go? - Which actions should we be taking under any financial climate? 2. You can still grow in a downturn. Remember, even in a downturn, there is opportunity. A 5% shrinkage in an economy means that 95% of activity is still taking place. In ...

As An Award-Winning Poet, I Stand For Everything That's The Opposite of Lib
2009-04-06 23:35:00 I am fighting the library over their claim that I did not return two DVDs, and I intend to win. Part 1 of this is here; Part 2 is here.First of all, I have to point out to "Anonymous" that (a) I didn't actually commit library fraud, and (b) thanks for remembering that I got an honorable mention in the States Viar Poetry Award, as well as winning it. I still put that award on my resume, so it's nice to have it noticed.I only thought about committing library fraud, but then decided against it and was going to commit library truth, or whatever the opposite of library fraud is, only Sweetie didn't have a pen in her car, so it's really her fault. Anyway, having not returned the DVDs on Saturday (opting instead to enjoy a pleasant time at the playground), I went into the office on Sunday, where I got two shocks. First, my library account says I owe $26! Twenty-six bucks! For what? Then, shock number two, was this email from The Library Director: Hello,I checked into these two DVDs and...
