WWE Settles Lawsuit With Memphis Wrestling
2008-05-25 00:15:00 The lawsuit between WWE and Memphis wrestling, regarding WWE pulling Jerry Lawler from the big match against Hogan last April (later replaced by Big Show) has been settled out of court.Memphis promoter Cory Maclin was claiming that WWE had violated section two of the "federal Sherman Anti-Trust Act" as McMahon used his influence with Jerry Lawler to keep him from working for Maclin, due to his feelings toward Hogan at the time.source: pwmania.comReaction from Jim Ross:So the WWE settles out of court with a wrestling promoter in Memphis over Jerry Lawler not wrestling Hulk in Memphis some time back. This lawsuit, in my opinion, was a joke from the get go and apparently the WWE settled to simply move on. I can?t blame them for that.
