Boy with Leukemia sues Walgreens for wrong prescription
2009-10-15 00:07:00 A young man with Leukemia and his father are suing Walgreens after the pharmacy misfilled his prescription. According to the complaint, the young man was supposed to receive 1mg/ML solution of dexamethasome but the Walgreens in Winfield, Illinois filled the prescription with 1mg/10ml solution of dexamethasome, which is only 1/10th of the solution prescribed by his physician. As a result, the complaint states the boy was required to undergo additional, invasive and dangerous medical treatment that would have otherwise been unnecessary. Read the complaint after the jump.
