Rock Band DLC: Judas Priest album now on XBLM
2008-04-22 21:56:00 The day has finally arrived where, for the first time ever, Rock Band receives complete album downloadable content as Judas Priest's "Screaming for Vengeance" makes its way onto the XBLM. The Judas Priest DLC is comprised of nine master tracks from the "Screaming for Vengeance" album, all of which can be purchased individually from the Marketplace for 160 Microsoft points or as an album for 1200 points. As always, we broke down and posted a list of all of today's Priestly Rock Band DLC after the break, so be sure to check that out. 2008-02-15 21:30:00 Better late than never: Overlord DLC on XBLMFiled under: News, DownloadsTriumph Studios' quirky title Overlord was fairly decently recieved when we got our hands on it. The humor worked, the formula was fun, plus you got minions. The Pikimin-like gameplay worked so well that the devs figured it would be a worth endevor if they put resources into DLC development. However this DLC has taken much longer than expected to get here, so it may not sell as well as it might have back in November. The two packs that were slated for last year are here, along with a third, which is new. The "Raising Hell" Pack will be 800 MSpoints and is a single player expansion, adding new locations and goals. The "Challenge" pack will be 400 MSpoints and adds 7 multiplayer maps, and a harder single-player difficulty. McDonalds, and New Line Cinema brings Free Austin Powers to XBLM
2007-06-24 17:35:00 Yep you read that title right, McDonalds and New Line Cinemas are bringing Austin Powers to Xbox Live Video marketplaces, as an ad-sponsored download. The video has already shot to the #1 download on Xbox Live Marketplace. With people eagerly grabbing the free 14 day rental that is available for download Now until June 28th and will be made available again for download between July 13 and 19th. Microsoft is in talks with studios and other companys to do more sponsored downloads as it expands its advertising push on the service. This is the first on the Movie side being sponsored by McDonalds, but the sponsored downloads has been seen in the gaming arena already with T-Mobile sponsoring free demos of new games that users can try before they buy it. For the Austin Powers feature Xbox gives McDonalds a new area branded BurgerCon, where users can download the film, or enter and play or win in a contest.
