La actualización del paquete xserver-xorg-core han provocado que al actualizar nuestro Ubuntu no lo podamos ejecutar gráficamente, y únicamente podremos acceder a él en modo linea de comando. Tampoco hay que tirarse de los pelos, y darlo todo por perdido, todos tenemos fallos, y tampoco es plan de comerse a los chicos de Ubuntu. Para solucionarlo simplemente vamos a seguir estos pasos que describo a continuación y que han sido sacados del foro oficial en inglés de Ubuntu. Antes de nada vamos a ver que versión tenemos en los repositorios: sudo aptitude update sudo aptitude install -s -V xserver-xorg-core Y ahora vamos a ver que versión tenemos instalada: sudo aptitude dist-upgrade sudo aptitude show xserver-xorg-core | grep Version (la "V" de la Version debe estar en mayusculas) En caso de que sea esté en los repositorios la versión 10.4, puedes instalarla desde los repositorios.
