The Yuricon 2011 Yuri AMV Contest is ON!

And to celebrate this great bounty of Yuri, we here at Yuricon and our video channel Yuristudios are having an AMV Contest! 2009-06-10 02:07:00 AnimeNEXT, the next generation of anime conventions, will be held this weekend, from June 12-14 at the Garden State Exhibit Center and the DoubleTree Somerset Hotel in Somerset, New Jersey.And Yuricon & ALC Publishing will be there!We'll have a table in Con Row (ask at the Information Desk where that is) and a Yuri Panel at 6PM on Saturday, June 13. Breaking News: Yuricon on the Daily Kos
2009-06-02 00:46:00 I was fully prepared to do a review today, but instead would like to nod in thanks and awe at Okazu Hero Bruce McF for his article on today's Daily Kos:What Can Newspaper Reporters Learn From Yuricon?For one thing, Bruce really *gets* what I say about niche marketing, and he shows an understanding of social media that far outweighs most Marketing Directors'. It's a very good article and I hope you will read it all the way through and vote Bruce chocolate chip cookies at the end, because he definitely deserves a cookie for his efforts.The comments interest me, as someone almost immediately tries to diminish the impact of the message by forcing it back into the anime box - and not just that, but the "oh, it's those gals talking about Yuri, how cute and pointless" box. Yuricon & ALC Publishing at MangaNEXT
2007-10-05 20:44:00 Yuricon & ALC Publishing, in the usual form of me and my minion(s), will be making an appearance tomorrow, Saturday October 6 at MangaNEXT in Secaucus, NJ.I and brilliant fanfic writer Adam Jones will be discussing Fanfiction at the unholy hour of 10AM in the Fanfiction Panel.After that, we will be relaxing in the Artist's Alley, where will not only have Yuri Monogatari 5 for sale, but also a nice selection of original and parody doujinshi, including some very awesome work by UKOZ, Sakuraike and Office Mono, Tadeno Eriko's circle. All five artists are featured in Yuri Monogatari 5 and all are genuinely exceptional. New Customized "Yuri Search" Feature on Yuricon!
2007-07-18 19:49:00 I was fooling around with Google's custom search feature and I set up a customized search function especially for Yuri fans. It draws from a small set of anime/manga related sites, which will lead you to reasonably relevant posts about the series you care about. Type in a series, and you'll get reviews, news, info or forum posts related to that series! No more putting in "Air Master" in Google and getting mattresses or fans in the results. :-)The new search feature lives on the right-hand of the Yuricon Sitemap page. This is not a crisis (yet.) Due to Philip Mak's sudden death, we're moving servers. There's a lot I have to do and I'm not entirely sure how to do it all, since Philip setup the whole thing for me originally. I hope to be up and running *soon*.This does not affect Okazu, of course, except as it sucks away my will to live and leaves me with no energy to write... ;-) It also does not effect Registration for Yuricon 2007, which is open.
