2008-02-07 23:38:00 How It Works?Weightless Flight (also known as Parabolic Flight) is achieved aboard ZERO-G's Boeing 727 aircraft named G-FORCE ONE. Weightlessness is achieved by flying G-FORCE ONE through a parabolic flight maneuver. Specially trained pilots fly these maneuvers between approximately 24,000 and 34,000 feet altitude. Each parabola takes 10 miles of airspace to perform and lasts approximately one minute from start to finish.The maneuver is somewhat like a roller coaster in that the plane is initially pulled up to approximately 45 degrees 'nose high'. Next the plane is 'pushed over' the top to reach the zero-gravity segment of the parabolas. For the next 25 - 30 seconds everything in the plane is weightless. On their journey, they are discovering lots of surprises, including the Babylon Rogues, its a group of avian thieves who are also after the Ark of the Cosmos. This issue sets off a war between who gets the artifact, now leading them to settle their dispute by having an Extreme Gear competition. At the end of the game, it is revealed that the Ark of the Cosmos together in Babylon Garden will form a black hole. We took lots of great pictures, fostered a new addiction for my son (space shuttles!), and went on some crazy ride where you sit in a seat and shoot up into the air, at least 10 stories. For a second at the top, you’re weightless. I think it was called Zero Gravity or something. Anyway, it scared the crapola out of me. My husband and I both went on it. I had to take my glasses off so I wouldn’t lose them, so I couldn’t see my son who was safely on the ground with his grandparents.
