Mineral disbanded shortly after signing to a major label. Next Simpson resurfaced in the Gloria Record, one of the most underrated shoegazing bands. Midway through recording their fourth record the band went on hiatus and Chris Simpson disappeared. Two years later, he resurfaces in Zookeeper.Zookeeper is something no one has every described Simpson's music as. Zookeeper is a party.Chris Simpson assembled an all star cast from his native Austin, TX. Zookeeper is comprised of Brian Hubbard and Ben Houtman from the Gloria Record, John Hoover, Seth Woods and Alex Dupree from the Trapdoor Band, Alex Lyon from Zykos, and Ben Lance from the Sad Accordions.
