Amkashop Shirts are Hanging, Worn by Models
2007-06-10 10:06:00 Not so clear what Amkashop is trying to achieve with these professionally taken product shots. Whether it's to show that it has nicely-stretchable shirts, to prove its long-lasting (strong, high quality made) clothing line or just to please our eyes with its good-looking models.Hey guess what, despite the hanging models, Amkashop has really some nice t-shirts (plus long-sleeves and girl?s shirts) collection to watch. With those clothing items sold at around 21-25 ? plus entertaining product shots, Amkashop is not the one to be missed [visit Amkashop]---------------------------sourc e & image: www.amkashop.comcontinue reading: NekoWear is Manga Inspired.../ Bountee's Two Months old,.../ One Design with Many Versions.../ J!NX Video T-Shirt Ads, Not Funny Enough?.../ More About: Models , Shirts , Urban
Tee Junction Makes the Most of Fun of 80's Fashion
2007-06-08 17:56:00 CafePress isn't US shopkeeper monopoly anymore; at least we found new set up brand from our folks in Queensland, Australia. Tee Junction , and not T Junction, is a T-shirt label which generate its idea mostly from late 70's and early to mid eighties t-shirt design and culture in general.Design inspirations mostly come from lots of TV shows and movies during the period such as ALF and the karate kid. Andrew Coe, the Chief Junctioneer, told me that modern interpretations of 70's and 80's fashions are inherently ironic; and humor is a much more important element than it was back when vintage tees were first cool -- and what Tee Junction is trying is to have some element of humor in most of the designs. T-shirt prices are floating at around $20-25 bucks, unless you want sneaky value T-shirt which priced much lower [visit Tee Junction]*by the way, CafePress has nicer look for its T-shirt preview than before---------------------------source & image: www.cafepress.com/teejunctioncon... NekoWear is Manga Inspired T-shirt Brand
2007-06-08 05:26:00 NekoWear claims that it's the first brand coming from manga culture. I don't want to discuss the "first" part but it's obviously a brand totally inspired by mange culture; with a twist of western and world influence ? not forget to mention, NekoWear is French-born brand. There are four lines introduced by Nekowear so far: Nekome, NekoWear, Pin2 (in collaboration with Studio Tanuki), Ben Bao and Japanim (featuring widely-known anime character such as GTO and Naruto). Besides website that looks alive with animated manga icons, Nekowear T-shirt designs looks fun -- especially, as I said, with mix of manga style art and western and world influence. If you look closely inside the Nekome line, each t-shirt represents few world's popular characters from superheroes (Superman, Batman, Spiderman) to real hero (El Che) and even outter space enemy from Star Wars [visit Neko-shop]---------------------------sour ce & image: www.nekowear.comcontinue reading: Bountee's Two Months old,.../ One De... Busted Tees' Success Team on Act
2007-06-07 20:08:00 Crunchnotes posted this video which is an act of the guys from Connected Ventures, especially the teams for Busted Tees (and Vimeo and CollegeHumor). Great place to work it seems; and talking Busted Tees itself, it never tired working on sale off-surprise and new tees launch to please its mailing list members. Recently, Busted Tees also comes out with special one-page to host all slashed-price tees,No wonder if it can be so popular and hit big five in Google search for "funny t-shirt". Although my thought, funny T-shirts are nearly similar everywhere and Busted Tees T-shirts are not superior; well, maybe these happy workers (as you see on the video) is Busted Tees secret recipe to thrive. Oh yeah, Busted Tees also a sister site of another T-shirt site, Defunker. Karmaloop Widgets Go Live
2007-06-06 17:29:00 If previously Karmaloop-rep can only promote Karmaloop's T-shirts and other stuffs using static banner or referral text-link, now they'll get new widgets to be promoted. With these new widgets, currently only three format-sizes, viewer of widget can scroll up-down or left-right to browse few Karmaloop product shots in a small-but-nice size. The new widgets, indeed, can only enhance viewers' browsing experience assuming it doesn't slow down web page's upload. Particularly for 362x431-size widget, it should be nicely fitted to MySpace's profile and you know, our MySpace folks would love this cool widget -- I believe it will looks like "check out my fav stuffs" rather than "buy thru this link so I can get some bucks... please!". Bountee's Two Months old, 1000 Designs and Counting
2007-06-04 16:08:00 We already spotted Bountee (beta) launch just about two months ago. In a surface, I saw it as place for people (specifically, artists and designers) to share their designs and at best, sell it to others. So what's so cool about that? Thanks to Steve for emailing me last week and gave more info from the latest of Bountee. As accepted image format, Bountee chooses SVG file format (vector-based) which its graphic-editor can be freely downloaded from Inkscape. Using vector-based file, Steve says, enabled Bountee to maintain image designs' quality. These vector images will then printed using the latest DTG (Direct To Garment) technology which allows inks to penetrate into the fabric. In short, T-shirt's printed-image won't crack or peel off even after washed so many times repeatedly.Design by the people for the people. Bountee is very community-based, allow each member to submit designs and sell them at the end of the day. Already 1000 (and counting!) designs submitted, get commented ... What Makes a Successful T-shirt Website
2007-06-03 03:18:00 I visited t-shirtforums.com yesterday, after quite sometime, and found this old-but-still-hot thread over the forum. Someone started this question: "what are the 5 most important issues to address to create a successful t-shirt website?" and it really gets me (and others) thinking. Well, I am myself not tee shop owner (where most of t-shirtforums.com's members are) but at least I can give perspective from consumer point of view. So here are my take on successful t-shirt websites:1) AccessibilityThe most important is website must be easy to navigate; example, I can always reach each website's page within one click. Flash intro is okay as long as it's less than 3 second (I'm using broadband connection), although most people dislike it. I hate all-flash website, it's really not fun if I can't do my right-click.2) Complete sets of infoI'm a curious (and skeptical) person, especially if I visit an online store for the first time; I usually need to find these essential info: "about... One Design with Many Versions, Stan Peach?s Tees
2007-05-31 23:30:00 Basically, these T-shirts (above) come from one origin design but Stan Peach brilliantly makes it the variant of it. Actually the idea is pretty nice; it makes the T-shirts somehow cool "collectible" item. Simply said, if you have the red/blue version, don't you wish to have the pixelated one? And for the pink/brown one, maybe, you want to give it to your hubby as a gift so that you two have pair of same-but-different T-shirts.Each T-shirt will cost you £20; it says free delivery but no additional info on shipping details. Also available another two designs: Houndstooth (newest) and Original SP; but again, Stan Peach produces them in several versions such that there are many T-shirts on its small boutique [visit]---------------------------source & image: www.stanpeach.co.ukcontinue reading: Spreadshirt New Marketplace.../ A Conversation with Detour Design .../ T-shirt Subscription Gets.../ Interactive T-shirt Gallery.../ More About: Artsy , Tees , Sion
J!NX Video T-Shirt Ads, Not Funny Enough?
2007-05-30 17:34:00 I spotted J!NX series of short video ad yesterday (as you guess) on Youtube. The series consist of three short clips featuring J!NX featuring jinx funny tees: "I saw your mom on the internet", "pirates are cooler than ninjas" (see clip above) and "Your computer sucks". it doesn't seem to be successful though, not really successful according to number of views despite 5-star ratings.Does J!NX need those not-so-funny video ads?Already an official merchandise partner for popular geek oriented site, Digg, J!NX enjoys lots of visitors coming to its site every second. And as far as my concern, J!NX is one of the largest geek-oriented T-shirt and clothing label by itself. Having more than 200 T-shirts plus other clothing items on the shelves makes J!NX a candy store for geek and gamers who need cool gears. Not enough there; to retain its fans and customers (better called community), J!NX happily facilitates them with forum, event listings, idea submission (to win $500) even contest wi... Spreadshirt New Marketplace (beta), Designers Meet Webmasters
2007-05-29 18:03:00 We have seen Spreadshirt beta's preview last weekend and I, too, have been trying the beta. After trying here and there I come to a conclusion that it's not all that easy to set up product line, even to set up an instant online store like Spreadshop; too many decisions to be made! So, I won't bore you with details of inside Spreadshop, rather I'd like to discuss new feature of the marketplace. The introduction says this: "The Spreadshirt Marketplace joins buyers, designers, and Spreadshirt shop-partners..."; furthermore on the page, we can see Spreashirt attempt to invite on more groups: Webmaster/Blogger which I think interesting. Shoppartner are usually also Designers who bring their own (I hope) original designs; while on the other hand, webmaster/bloggers are busy people who expert on non-design stuffs (such as managing website, writing, etc). And what new marketplace wants to do: bridging the partnership between designers and webmaster/bloggers. For the latter group, also a g... More About: Webmasters , Beta , Meet , Master

Hey that's awesome, isn't!? Not often actually. It?s a little bit disappointing that most T-shirts are already sold out (especially for guys size) -- okay, I'm late, but it just 7 hours ago! Even not many re-printed tees from past collection. A Conversation with Detour Design, Talking CafePress
2007-05-26 17:58:00 My reason of conducting this short interview is to get the answer of why people keep choosing Cafe Press despite many new similar companies offering "open you free online shop". The conversation itself has open my eyes little bit about Cafepress, these are the lines1) Tell me a little bit about Detour Design ables?? What's inspired you to start T-shirt label despite the saturated market? Detour Designables was founded by 2 graphic designers in Utah on May 5, 2005. Yup, Cinco de Mayo. We decided to start an online shirt company after reading a great article on the internet about how an online t-shirt business can increase your profits. Our graphic design business was called Detour Design, so naturally we called our t-shirt shop Detour Designables. We weren't really concerned about the saturated t-shirt market at the time. We were confident that we would be able to make our shop and designs different enough that we would stand out.2) Why did you choose CafePress over other companies (... Testing out Spreadshirt Beta, You're Invited too!
2007-05-26 03:53:00 The not-so secret new Spread shirt now in beta stage and I'm so much interested to what new features will be added. In case you don't know, Spreadshirt is online clothing shop with built in designing tool, so easy that you can customize and personalize your T-shirts right from your web browser. Furthermore, it even allows people to sell their T-shirt and thru free and easy-made online shop. The competition between these provider-companies get tougher; whilst Cafepress teaming up with Commission Junction and Shirtcity attracting more member thru contest; Zazzle has started its Associate Program for webmasters and bloggers. Now who's going to try Spreadshirt Beta ?Thanks to Adam, me and Tshirt island's readers are invited to try the new beta; if you're interested here are the 5-digit activation code you can use to log in: 26715, 78637, 67197, 52583, 36114 (just pick any of them) [edit: code can only be used once only, you may get the code from him if those couldn't be used anymo... T-shirt Subscription Gets Buzzed at BuzzFeed
2007-05-25 17:38:00 Tshirt island received sudden traffic yesterday (and still even now) which after I checked the source, came from BuzzFeed. BuzzFeed's Thursday edition was spotlighting T-shirt subscription model I covered last time i.e. buying T-shirts in subscription-based just like when you subscribe your monthly/weekly magazine. To be clearer, these are few brands I found offering this kind if "service" including K adorable, MailboxTees, Social-T (interview with founder), and the latest is T-post.Are you ready for this?Of course the big question remains there (at least for me), whether one would trust others to decide what T-shirts should s/he buy -- it's because you don't know what your tees will look like and yet you already put your cash on it; thus, not different with asking people to pick your clothes while you close your eyes. The exception would be, for example, if you're Threadless' loyal member for months or years -- it's likely won't in doubt when you get chance to go for its 12 ... More About: Shirt , T-Shirt , Subs

2007-05-23 02:22:00 Thanks Andy for reminding on his cotton filter -- I know it's been late for few days, but better late than never to say: Happy Birthday Oddica! A Priceless Way: Series 1 vs. Series 2
2007-05-17 13:40:00 A Priceless Way (APW) is a Seattle based clothing label found by duo Tai Yu and Sylvia. While Serie s 1 already up for purchase, Series 2 only available for preview -- I hope I can let you know when it's ready on the store.Comparing the two series -- Series 1 T-shirts are more experimental in language usage rather than Series 2's which focus on graphical art. Minimalist art as decoration-purpose and phrase like "Use My Talent to make you rich" are something you can expect from the first series; yes, it definitely goes easy for simply slogan T-shirt lovers. But not for Series 2; it's heavy with "abstract" graphical design, more attention grabber (if I can say that) than the first one -- in short, I feel like these different series has their own personality. Whether I find this distracting or exciting, I'm not sure yet...After all this is a fast-changing fashion world. Find, Show and Influence with Trendmill
2007-05-15 14:15:00 Trendmill isn't exactly a name of T-shirt or clothing label; instead, it's social network site (sort of MySpace or Facebook) that is specially crafted for individuals who love to find and share fashion-related stuff, from sneaker and denim to T-shirt and headwear. Here's why:People vs. industryWhat makes it possible for Trendmill to find new trend, or brands is due to its willingness to engage the industry players which later classified as, brand, online store, stylist, media, etc. If you join Trendmill, you can register as regular member (or the "people") who will discover and spread the trends, or apply as "industry" who will initiate that. Myself have been invited (thank, Matt) as media -- probably because I'm blogger. Desteenation and Vintage T-shirt Expedition
2007-05-14 20:18:00 Desteenation Shirt Co. (or in short, Desteenation) has a unique way of selling and getting its T-shirts. T-shirts are sold from bars, restaurants, breweries, taverns, hardware stores -- you name it. If it's a cool, locally-owned and loved establishment, Desteenation licenses the design and then promote their business through a written profile and pictures on its website and in two retail stores (one in Seattle and another in Kona, Hawaii). Of course, percentage of the T-shirts sale back to the original owners. 5 Big Ideas of Selling T-shirt Online
2007-05-09 19:27:00 After about a year blogging about T-shirt all the way, I've learned lots from the industry. Competitiveness of online T-shirt industry has been pushing up its players -- mostly small/medium companies and individuals -- to go beyond its basic role (provides desirable T-shirts); in order to survive from this tough competition. Also inspired by Problogger Top 5 list; here are my the top 5 big ideas of selling T-shirts online:#1. Let customers decide what they want Usually called onsite printing demand, personalized T-shirt etc. well, basically it's an adaptation of Dell's popular "built-to-order" or mass customization. Rather than gambling on customer's taste, these companies develops technology that allows customer to "create" their own T-shirt by mixing T-shirt types, colors and printed designs/logo/slogan-text. It's possible because customer get to see the preview before tees are pressed into the printing machine -- and of course, all can be done with few clicks here and there.... ISO50 Visual Works, Come Printed on T-shirts

The line was started 3 years ago to compliment many prints Scott was already selling under brand ISO50. The idea, as he told me, was a shirt with minimal branding; and minimal, but striking designs. Well, designs may look simple but they're not actually. T-shirts like Command, Roots (picture above) and Past Is Prologue are just few examples that minimalist doesn't mean forgetting small details.Above all, I think Scott is color genius; he carefully picks constant combination of T-shirts and designs' color element that represents ISO50. There are currently 25 tees on a shop with (most of) all available in Men and Women size. All shirts are printed on American Apparel and sold for $21.99 each [visit]---------------------------source & image: www.iso50.comcontinue reading: Blake Hamster Releases.../ Monsieur Poulet Community.../ Last Edition of Subedition.../ Chapter 2 is "Seven Souls.../ More About: Shirts , Urban , Visual , Artsy , Works 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
