Those of you who regularly visit Splurge Vs Steal will have noticed Forever 21 is a big one for the 'heavily inspired' catwalk items at a cheaper price. For those that haven't purchased at Forever 21 before though a warning on quality One suggestion I have is to visit the Jessica Style forums , as Forever 21 is pretty popular on there and this can give you some pointers on quality and fit of items from the US based members who have checked out the items instore. My Botkier Bargain

Okay, sorry to be a little 'its all about me' but hey, the section is called I heart! So I just wanted to share my latest purchase because I am SO excited.       The GORGEOUS Botkier Bianca in small (pic to the left is medium, it was all I could find) in Cherry for....wait for it....$213AUD! I've been eyeing this bag off for ages, and after consulting with our beauty bartender (you gotta love a girl who replies instantly to an email entitled 'Urgent Shopping Advice Required') who suggested the small will complement my current collection of larger sized bags well. The Botkier website is on sale at the moment and combined with the fabulous exchange rate of 93 cents to the Aussie dollar I just couldn't resist.  Botkier will ship internationally but it costs an arm and a leg (ie. 100US+), so use a mail forwarder.

Cult Beauty Product Review - Guerlain Meteorites

I remember the fuss Meteorites caused, three counters over when I worked on the shop floor. Guerlain could NEVER keep them in stock - it was ridiculous. Every time they'd get them in, the consultants would spend the day calling all the people who'd been to ask about them in the last however many months, and without fail they'd all show up in parade fashion over the course of the following Saturday to pick up their prized meteorites like they were the rarest of diamonds. It's really been THAT long since I heard about this product, and given all the fuss I have no idea why I haven't tried it 'til now. When travelling recently, I finally picked up a 'collection' edition in duty free, that had miniature versions of all three shades (Mythic - 01, Pink Fresh - 02 and Beige Chic - 03). Off on Holidays

Justing letting you all know there will be no updates to the site over the next week, as I'm off on a short holiday with my darling husband, it being exactly one year since we got married. Scary when you consider we still both disolve in hysterics like the immature children  we are whenever someone refers to our 'husband' or 'wife'. See you all next week and happy valentines day for tomorrow!  If your looking to shop though, I've put together the A-Z of Australian Etsy sellers , which is choc full of fabulous australian talent, and should keep you going for at least a week :) As much as I adore Etsy, I just can't get the hang of that geolocater!

When it comes to high heels, I have the best of intentions and the worst  of follow through. I love the look of heels (Louboutins, be still my racing heart!) but I do find that not being a regular heel-wearer, many a time I am put off wearing them. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is possibly the original cult product. You know how you read magazines and they'll claim such-and-such was the 'first' supermodel? Well I'm gonna claim Eight Hour Cream started the cult trend. Word on the street is that Eight Hour Cream was first developed during the second world war as a treatment for burns. The highly, highly moisturising nature of the stuff made it a good product to market to the masses in an era when the motto for 'creams' was something along the lines of 'the heavier the better'. Today though? Having tried this stuff, I have no idea why it has the following it does. It's touted as the product that does a zillion things in one - I've heard everything from healing cracked skin (okay) to in-flight hydration (oooookay) to (wait for it) anti-frizz for hair and body buffing. Regular readers will recall that late last year I waxed lyrically about the wonders of Maybelline . Great price, great product, and actually does what it says on the packet. Joy! My new love however, is Rimmel . Some time ago when I first started posting on NSO I mentioned how much I like Rimmel's double-ended eyeliner... but you'll be pleased to know I can now happily inform you there's much more to like about Rimmel than just their eyeliner. I recently travelled back to Australia for the festive period, and in an attempt to cut back on the amount of 'stuff' I was carting around, I somewhat amusingly made the decision not to take my full makeup bag. And I until recently I'd spend a fortune at Borders stocking up on international magazines, but not any more, now that I have discovered how much cheaper they are to buy  subscriptions over the internet. There are quite a few international based sites which let you take advantage of the dirt cheap subscriptions prices in the US, and the savings are huge.
