Plant Kisses with CARGO PlantLove Lipstick

Now you can plant kisses AND flowers with your lipstick!  Celebrity moms Kim Raver, Denise Richards and Angie Harmon joined forces with CARGO to develop the shades of PlantLove lipstick.  There are some beautiful shades available, I especially like that the packaging is eco-friendly and as a bonus super cute too!  The lipstick tube is made entirely out of corn which is a renewable resource.  In addition to that the carton it comes in is also made out of paper which is embedded with real flower seeds.  All you do is plant the carton, water and watch your garden bloom.  The lipstick is $20 @ Sephora.com, $2 of the purchase price will go to St. Jude’s Pediatrics Research Hospital.  This is a must-buy for me on my next order so stay tuned! AMBI Body care Soft & Even Moisturizer

There is one product and ONE product only that has totally intimidated me since I met her at the CEW Awards so many days ago.  betty is color for the “hair down there” that is safe (no parabens, no animal testing) and now officially heads my list of “things I didn’t know I needed”.   Brazilian waxes can be painful but betty is a fun way to get your betty ready without pain.  I’m totally not into the “brown” color I received to try.  TMI: I don’t need to cover grey so I would have loved the FUN Betty (pink) or Malibu Betty (blue) which is perfect for a bride.  I also love the different stencils, especially the dollar sign to do something different!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GA3rz8ddk A Earth Day has now officially passed so it’s time for a mayday for all of us who can’t seem to get to sleep!  My husband and I are guilty, he’s doing his last two classes to get his Master’s degree all night every night and I’m watching crazy stuff on youtube like Rihanna in Dallas till the wee hours of the morning.  I LOVE the original scene so when I saw this dub with the Rihanna song it kills me. And YES, I am the BIGGEST Dallas fan there ever was, or ever will be, thanks for asking.  One of the reasons is because Dallas is so much like a telenovela.  Dallas just needed a creepy clown or strange pet involved in the show.  Another reason is Bobby Ewing dates a latina, I’m sure of it, I just can’t find the evidence needed to make such a claim!  I remember thinking Patrick Duffy would someday bump into me in NYC and sweep me away because I was just his type… *sigh*  I am very happy to hear tha...

Spring Blossoms Bath & Body Works

I have been in my garden all weekend, turning the soil, making a new compost pile, weeding and watering and combatting the weird bushes that are trying to take down my apple trees.  Despite these horrible mangrove type bushes twising around them, trying to bring them down, my little apple trees are sprouting pretty little blossoms.  I love the blossoms, it’s the first real sign of spring and make me so darned happy I can’t tell you. My dream next year is to plant 15 Cherry Blossom trees (I’ve wished this for the last 4 years!) because I love the blossoms so much.  It’s not going to happen again this year, so for now I will appease myself by camping out at local Cherry Blossom trees for our family ohanami party.  Until then…  Bath & Body Works has captured the fresh scent of spring with a crispy citrus and floral scent named Blushing Cherry Blossom.  I LOVE it, what a boost to the psyche after a long blah winter.  Top Notes: Mandarin, Leafy Green Acc...

whoa! totally blown away by Hasblady Guzman, although I missed her show, Split Ends , Saturday night I have already set my DVR to make sure I don’t repeat that mistake. Don’t be a HOT Racker!  I love this stuff, a drugstore find, it’s affordable and readily available.  No bathroom should be without Olay’s Calm Release , super sweet smell and non-drying formula.  Lavender just makes me feel good, how ’bout you? Who will be the next hot telenovela star? The 7 Deadly Telenovela Sins Viva Hollywood is for sure the most under exposed show to debut in recent history.  This is exactly the kind of programming I’ve been looking for and I never got the memo that Viva Hollywood was even in production not to mention ready to make it’s debut!  By chance I flipped VH1 on this afternoon and set my DVR immediately to watch when the kids were put to bed.  The channel that airs Flavor of Love is not one safe for viewing with kids! The first episode introduces the cast of characters, specifying their country of origin and at times their locale in the US.  Depending on how perceptive you are, or your familiarity with latino culture, you’ll know we’re fiercely proud of our own ethnic group.  What is grouped into “latino” is really a vastly different array of music, food, culture, religion, etc… not to mention old prejudices and grudges. I recently blindly blogged about a free service called Life booker.com  I’m always wary of doing that because I feel my blog is on the line and a big part of this blog is my personal experience with things not just regurgitating what’s already out there.  So, I made a point of trying LifeBooker out for myself recently and am happy to report my experience.
