That's right! Your's truly along with Hip Candy was one of the "chosen ones" to be profiled in 225 Magazine's 2008 "People To Watch" issue! Woo-hoo! Yay! Click to read my article here. 2007 was a banner year for myself and for Hip Candy, and the 225 article just proves that theres no signs that it's stopping! A Guide To Perfecting A Dramatic, Smoky Eye

The smoky eye trend is one that I don't think will ever completely fade away. A smoky eye is a dramatic eye. That being said, you probably want to practice it a couple 2, 3 times before debuting it at the New Year's Eve party if you haven't tried it before. Seriously. You don't want people laughing and whispering about you because you look like a raccoon. This is why I love the Smoky Eye Kit I recently got from Sephora. It has application tips and brushes to make acheiving this look so much easier. The dome smudge brush is my current fave. The look is most often done in grays, charcoals and blacks, but can also be done with browns, bronzes and even metallics. I hope ya'll enjoy this video on giving "practical" holiday gifts this season. It's kinda funny. Although, I wish somebody WOULD try and give me a 4-pack of toilet paper on Christmas day in the name of giving something practical! That is unless I was completely out of toilet paper and didn't really feel like running to the store to get more, well then... that's different. Because then, not only are you giving me a practical holiday gift, but you're also saving me a trip.

A friend of mine spotted these over at Luxist.com [thanks Nita] and emailed it to me, and I was a little shocked to say the least...YOU'VE GOT MALEAFTER an absence of seven years on the menswear scene, Manolo Blahnik has dusted off his sketchbook - and created a line of men's shoes so fabulous (lol!), they are pretty much guaranteed to knock your man's socks off. Erin Fetherston For Target, So Cute & Girly!

I'm such a sucker for cutesy party dresses. Which is why I've already purchased this antique white chiffon and velvet Erin Fetherston mini dress ($45) from Target 's newest GO! International line. It's so cute on! I've even already worn it to an appointment last week with a pair of shoes very similar to the ones the model has on. The only difference is that it was a little chilly here last week, so I added a pair of opaque black tights to the mix. Yeah. I think I turned a few heads that day. Fun times. I'm also planning on wearing it again over the coming holidays. It's a perfect holiday dress! Erin Fetherston has some of the cutest little holiday party dresses I've seen in a while in Target's GO! International line IMO, but here's a tip, I found her line to run a little small, so if you're planning on purchasing, you may want to go up a size. Cavalli At H&M in Chicago.. GONE.

This is the sign that greeted me loud and clear when I arrived at the H&M on Michigan Avenue in Chicago last Friday morning November 9. Roberto Cavalli at H&M, GONE. ALL OF IT. It had only been released 24 hours before on Nov. 8! When I asked an H&M associate how long the Cavalli collection had all been sold out, she told me that when she got to work at 3:30 PM on Thursday the day of the launch, that there were only a few pairs of Cavalli men's underwear left. That's it! Another sales girl told me (as I was paying for another really cute dress and top I picked up..) that the H&M Cavalli collection (with pieces that ranged in price from $80 - $100 in the store) will have a whole new existence on Ebay. She told me that some people were there specifically to buy it out at the store, only to turn around and re-sell it (at a premium too, I might add) on the popular auction site. So if you really, really want a piece of the Cavalli collection from H&M, and you don't...

H&M, one of my fave budget retailers, (who always carries some of the cutest gear EVER at even better prices...) just opened a new store on November 1 on 8580 W Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles ! They also have another Los Angeles store located inside the Beverly Center. Halle Berry has been shining in designer in everything from Dolce & Gabbana to Versace to Roberto Cavalli since she's been with child and wow! Is she workin' it or what?! I don't think I've seen pregnancy look this great on anyone since Heidi Klum. I've heard Halle say that she thinks she can get away with NOT wearing maternity until about her 9th month. I think she might be right. I ain't mad at her. She's fabulous.
