Where are my manners? I'm from the South and I should know better. I was thinking to myself the other day that I haven't really introduced myself as the editor of Haute Talk - so what better time than now!Sooooo, officially, I am Lara Jones the Editor-in-Chief of Haute Talk. I reside in Long Beach (or the Beach), California, but originally from Arkansas. Second Chance to Visit Paris?

I just couldn't resist the urge to write about Paris , again. So, this morning she calls the court trying to get out showing up for court today. Needless to say, the judge wasn't having that. Police were sent to her home to pick her up. This picture, courtesy of MSNBC, shows Paris being escorted in gray sweatpants.Once in court, she was ordered to go back to jail. Paris, crying and screaming, was physically escorted back to jail to finish out her 45 days despite her efforts to remain in house arrest. She'll get credit for the 5 days already served.So, maybe now I'll get a chance to visit her.

I have to admit - I really have never been into using perfume(s). I usually just use some nice smelling lotions, creams, or a body spray from Bath and Body Works, but I hadn't really been a fan of spending tons of money on a perfume until one glorious day....I was visiting in my home state of Arkansas shopping with my friend Ashlee. We had just walked into Dillard's to meet up with some other friends. Well, upon our entrance we had to pass the dreaded perfume counter. Now, I up until them I had nothing but negative thoughts about the perfume counter. I've usually had bad experiences with sales people spraying with sample colngue and perfume trying to luring me over to the perfume counter. I usually come away smelling like two or three different scents and a headache. But, today was different.This guy greeted us a the Juicy Couture counter, just as Ashlee and I are about to completely blow him off, he offers us samples of the Juicy Fruits perfume and body cream. So we all know the story, no need to bore you with the facts. Paris is officially in jail.Coupled with fact she was going to turn herself in last night (which would be somewhat un-nerving for anyone), she gets dissed at the MTV Awards, ouch. She didn't let that stop her from looking uber fabulous on the red carpet!So, the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood is a short 20 minutes away from my apartment. I should visit her, right?!

I am officially geared up for a FAB-U-LOUS fashion and beauty Saturday in LA. First, I'll have my nails done in Long Beach at this nail shop I adore (conveniently located across the street from my apartment complex). Then, I have a hair appointment at Mecca Hair Studio on La Brea in LA. It's my first time going to them and I, literally, can't wait. Then, I'll hit up Melrose for some overdue shopping. With all this fabulous'ness going on, I even plan on squeezing in some time for an oil change.OK, maybe, not.
