Ok, so we talked about facials, manicures and pedicures....let's finish it off your Grooming List with clean , white teeth. You wouldn't believe how many men go daily through life blissfully ignorant of their corn on the cob teeth. In the era of Zoom whitening and a plethora of whitening strips, I have a hard time believing that this is still happening. I even had my teeth whitened last winter----I just wanted a fresher smile---and I can attest to the power of a white smile. Hello fabulites!My laptop has taken another leave of absence, so I am posting from my BlackBerry Pearl...meaning no pictures for now. I swear that computer manufacturers are out against us to force us to buy laptops every two years...I will have to post tonight after my hubby comes home with his laptop...just check back this evening...until then, I have a choice to make: burn the laptop as a sacrifice to the almighty Apple god OR set another appointment at the Apple Genius bar...it doesn't really matter...I have been ending up with the same result...Keep it strictly stylish!

Top Fall IT bags--just for you

Now, I really don't believe in following ALL of the trends, especially when it comes to having an IT bag that all of the celebs are flaunting. For example, when I see a hot retail item, I always ask the sales rep, "How well has this sold?" If the sales rep tells me that they run out of the item all of the time, I promptly put it back on the shelf--if everyone else has it, I don't want it. When I start to see my outfits on TV and out and about, I retire the look. I want to be known as having my own individual style, not a copycat of someone else's (that's exactly why I switched up to the natural nappy Afro right about now---the long flowing sew-in was on 4 out of every 5 women that I had seen--of all ethnicities!).That being said, I found some fab IT bags on Trendora. Now, fellas, I know know that the man-pampering revolution has yet to come into fruition, but I dare you---no, I double dare you--to be the the visionaries of this movement. I personally strongly believe in a man having great skin, nails, hair, and teeth. Although my primary concern is how you dress it all up, if the original package is a mess, there isn't much I can do about that....All that being said, if you read the last Man Day post, you should have had your pedicure and manicure by now. Hi there fabulites! I know that I promised a recap of my personal interview with Trina today, but last night my laptop was knocked off of my dining room table by my seven year old who was simultaneously trying to look at the TV and hang up a coat in the coat closet. While I commended him for hanging up his coat without me having to ask, I was silently praying inside that the computer wasn't damaged...but, when I picked it up off of the floor, the screen was a kaleidoscope of images...andit wasn't a screensaver. For years, we have proudly worn t-shirts that read "Eat my shorts," "Make love, not war," "I'm too Sexy for this Shirt ," yadda, yadda, yadda. It seems that in the past few years, the celeb crowd has jumped in on the action. I recently had lunch with the guys of BBG and my business partner Lawrence. To my shock and surprise, they informed me that not all men want to be GQ men. Oh the horror! They advised me that most men wouldn't be caught dead carrying a GQ, Details, Men's Vogue, etc. under their arms on the way to lunch, break time, or the potty. Well, after digesting this serious shock, I began to ponder: How can a man look fab in disguise? I absolutely LOOOVE this product!!! Underneath my impeccable sew-in, my hair is quite happy to be nappy. I haven't had a perm in about 5 years, and I love the versatility of natural hair. The only thing I dread is blowing it out (my hair is thick as a thicket bush--but I have never seen one, so I imagine that thicket translates to thick) and allowing the hair near my hairline to be free. On a recent trip to Jamaica, I just knew that I was stylin' and profilin' at an all white affair--until I did a bathroom check and saw a peacock/mohawk natural fluff staring back at me, not even trying to look inconspicuous alongside my Indian remy hair. Ok, I am waiting for the Sex and the City movie like the rest of the Carrie/Samantha/Miranda/Charlotte fanatics. I was especially excited that a sista was going to be on the cast. I mean, someone had to come on after Blair Underwood....But, I my excitement dimmed once I saw some stills of Jennifer Hudson online. I know that she probably has zero control over wardrobe, but they can do better than this...Patricia Fields, the movie's costume designer is known for her own quirky tastes--but it works for her. I am not so sure that J Hud can work this look. Hopefully, better yet, prayerfully, her character matches the wardrobe, cuz this just ain't working for me!What do you think?
