Hurry with Fall just around the corner the time is now.As the seasons change from Summer to Fall this could mean less elements to face,and less camping gear required to enjoy a family getaway or just some quality time outdoors with friends or a loved one.What you will need to bring depends on how many people or pets are coming,and how far you will be traveling.Clothing will depend on the terrain (desert,rugged,rocky,brushy,forest trails etc) and the varied temperatures between night and day for your location. For example: Shorts and a T shirt with boots or sneakers may be all you need if your warm blooded and the weather is still nice,or sweat pants,jeans and a flannel shirt might be needed for your comfort level.It never hurts to pack an extra bag with jackets,thermals,rain gear etc and leave it in your vehicle if you have the room.Food and its preparation depend on your location once more,are there stores nearby?or a camp grill already at your site?If not then a cooler and a camp ...

The Butler Fire, and my camping gear store.The fire may not be contained or under control just yet,but it seems to have lost most of its fight now,and we did have one of the smaller fire fighting planes land in a field behind our Vons supermarket right after taking off from our Big Bear City Airport this afternoon. No injuries were reported on the ground or to the pilot....Thank God...And my camping gear website is actually starting to show up on The Big 3 (Google,Yahoo+Msn) after 2 weeks.. Yay!Well I should say in the 1st 1000 rofl.. It dosent appear on any single keywords just yet,But then again Im still new to this and reading about SEO's-Marketing-Link Building etc.Not having a single link to my site yet cant be good.(note to myself) I will have to work on that soon.On Yahoo I can type in several keywords and find it #1 on page 1...But how many people are going to type in "camping gear,tents,backpacks".. Butler Peak Fire #2It started Friday afternoon around 1:21 pm near or around the west side of the Butler Peak Fire that took place over Labor Day nearly 2 weeks ago.The cause is under investigation so rumors about whether the prior fire known as the Butler Peak Fire had anything to do with it are just that....Rumors.It is located to the north of Big Bear Lake,Ca.As of Friday evening it was an estimated 200 acres,but between midnight and 6:00 am it had spread over 2 1/2 miles to the north and had increased in size to 4000 plus acres becoming the highest priority fire incident in the U.S.The town of Fawnskin has a mandatory evacuation order today 9-15-2007 simply as a precautionary measure. The town lies on the north shore of Big Bear Lake between the lake and the fires location in the mountains above.Smoke from this fire has been seen in Las Vegas,Nv. Well I went and did it.I finally took my 1st baby step a few days ago and opened up an affilliate website. I guess its called. You know the ones that you get to choose from literaly millions of products to place on a site you create and choose a template for.My only regret, if I have one is that its not a kite store. But its the next best thing as far as my personal knowledge is concerned. "Outdoor camping gear" is something I know a lil bit about and have in my own garage and use quite often. So it wasnt all bad.But before I actually had that theme I was overwhelmed by all the various products and must have picked over 3000 at least rofl.... And asked my son to take a look at it before I hit the publish button (good thing too) My son said.. Dad!! It looks like a "Wallmart" and I fell on the floor laughing and said go back to whatever you were doing before I asked your opinion grrrrrrr.You know what? Today was another beautiful day up in Big Bear.My son and I broke out the kites and went to the lake. We like the lake shoreline for kite flying mainly because of the view and the lack of trees in various locations around it.(trees are a kites worst enemy followed by power and telephone wires if you didnt already know that lol) My son Billy and I have about 10 different kites depending on how energetic or lazy we feel at the time. We have 5 stunt or dual string kites that require standing and more energy to fly than a single string kite but the dual string kites give back so much fun and excitement.It takes a little more time to prep a stunt kite before you can fly it because you have 2 strings to even out,no matter how long they are they must be even or its going to take off and do all circles if it takes off at all lol. Once you have them even with very little practice time you will be able to make the kite perform amazing maneuvers or tricks with ease.From figure 8's of any size...

Hi Ya'll...Like I sorta said up top Ive read these for years but never wrote one before.Probably because I cant type or spell worth a darn lol. My name is Michael and I just wanted to give a shout out to all of you out there in computer land. Well besides this being a 1st for me I am also building a website of all things.....to get people off their butts and outdoors by promoting camping gear and kites. (like they really go together lol) Not like this Blogging aint a kik in da pants and fun too. I guess because I live 7000" up in the mountains surrounded by National Forest next to a lake and love to camp and fly kites helped a little. Well it sounded good to me,Who knows lol... So before I put you all to sleep and bore ya to death I will take my leave now.... P.S. I would appreciate any input or comments you might have on this crazy notion I have.
