One week ago, I was incredibly excited for the movie.  I watched random episodes and the majority of season six, in preparation for the upcoming movie release.  Seeing all the early promotion at Fashion Week in February should have warned me for the media storm that would be surrounding the movie release. It all began to crawl under my skin last Tuesday, when Julie and I attended a Sex and the City philosophy discussion group. After watching the first episode of the first season, questions were posed to us like which character did we identify with, how did the show change dating in Manhattan, and numerous others.  The majority of questions were centered around the sex and dating aspects of the show and as I watched people discuss these topics with such seriousness I realized these weren’t the aspects of the show I enjoyed.  Each episode I craved the romance and the friendships the girls portrayed each episode.
