Chinese new year is around the corner.Every year,I will remember the old sad days.I came from a poor family and never buy any new clothes.When I was little my parents will not stop arguing about every little thing and even about money.One year,in fact,things were so tight my dad didn't bring home much money and we don't have money to celebrate Chinese New year.That was the most unhappy moment of my life.My mom was very sad and kept fighting with my dad almost everyday.I don't mind not celebrating Chinese new year but I do mind my parents fight everyday.My sister was very young at that time,she didn't know exactly what had happened between our parents.I remembered everytime they fight for money issues,I begin to cry and just walk away into my room.I hate this happen to my family.So after I graduate,I work very hard to earn money for the family.I worked everyday and never spend any money for myself.I don't know others but to me money is very important than any other things at tha...

Chinese Smiling Steamed Cake

This is my very first time of making a steamed Huat Kuih.For a first time not bad right!This is my all-time favorite dessert.A few months ago my MIL had gave me some wine yeast so that I can make the huat kuih.He!he!Actually,I want to make this long time ago but can't find a tradition recipe.Till recently I found a tradition recipe from my MIL dessert book.So here you go...I don't like the short cut recipe which is using flour or rice flour only.And I don't like to use the premix flour either because they don't taste as good as the old-fashioned method.I used the fermented wine yeast to make it.You have to leave it for 48 hours to ferment before I can make this.When I make this huat kuih I didn't use the exact ingredients....just agak-agak(estimate)!because I forgot to get the recipe from my MIL...Emm..the taste is a bit too sweet to me..but the texture is just perfect.Will post the recipe in my dessert blog when I get the recipe from my MIL ...Stay tune!!!

My neighbour has a dog that never barks and very huge in size.My kids love to play with the dog.But me-I hate to see the dog and feel like kick him far away.I don't mean to hurt the dog but that's how I feel everytime I see a dog.Any kind of dog.When I was little,I love dog cuz they are cute.But now I am scared of looking them in the eyes for fear.I can't help it!!Honestly,I think I have phobia of dogs.When there are dog around,my heart will pounding very fast.Seriously!!I never tell my kids about this phobia cuz I don't want to scare them.Even when I watch tv at home,If I see dog in a movie or an ad-I will change the channel.Let me tell you why I had this problem.First,when I was in primary three-I was chase by several dogs.Second,got bitten by our dog a Rottweiler.Luckily not serious injured.As you know Rottweiler is a talent dog but very rough and tumble sometimes.Yikes!Third,it frightened me the most when I was attacked by a dog at my aunt house.On my leg!!right or left emm ...

Today, I have nothing to write about.Somehow I do feel like writing.I click on my paypal account this morning and I was thrilled when I saw the amount on my account.Since my few posts did in fact get approved since last December and few for this month,I now make total $38.I never check my paypal account ever since I started writing the assignments.I always thought Smorty or Bloggerwave will give me an email notification like sponsoredreviews.I know that is not a big amount but I am quite happy that I come to know that I can earn some money in blogging.I did turned down some tasks from smorty,blogsvertise and sponsoredreviews recently.I know I am tossing away the money but I don't have confidence and time to write so many tasks yet.As far as I remember,I have done each post for bloggerwave and blogsvertise and am looking forward to receiving the payment.That's total amount $12!!Well,I hope I could try my best to write more assignments and achieve my goals.:)

Are you a glitter lover!I personally don't like it at all.I don't mind people wearing glitter makeup,body lotion..etc.It spills easily, spreads quickly, and is hard to clean up, especially on carpet .....besides I am a bit concern of this toys make up made in China .My mom in law always remind me not to buy toys or foods that are made in china.I can't believe it when she bought this for my kids.What can I say!!I just keep quite and pretended to like it and have to say'thank you' to her somemore..."Shake my head"Can you see the lip gloss,body lotions glitter and sparkle powder. It's nice having a long break after the holidays.Two weeks has gone so quickly.Before new year the kids are high on new toys,movies and pc games.It's time to go back to school.I was so excited for Ashley to go back this morning.It went pretty smoothly.Kinda cold and windy this morning.This is the hardest part about getting up in the morning.I am a morning person.I am still in holiday mood and feel like snoozing till 10am!I'm wigging out.I woke up at 8 am to handle some snacks and drinks for her to bring it to school.Actually I don't have to get any school stuff for her to bring it to school-the school provides all those stationery stuff.No pencils,No exercise books and No text books-the only thing she needs to bring are lunch,a planner and her bag.oh yes!of course her brain too.LOL!!!I feel like my head is so heavy now....I think that's it for today update.
