On Saturday Russell Simmons held an event in Miami . There were many in attendance, and everyone looked great especially Russell's girlfriend, Porschla Coleman. She looked stunning in this jeweled tone purple strapless dress. She definitely has the body to pull it off, and the color looked great on her sun-kissed tanned skin. Russell wore his classic style, a blazer paired with a cap and polo sweater. BET's host, Julissa, looked fabulous also. She wore a skin tight lime green dress.

Move over Day 26 and Danity Kane, it looks like Diddy has a new artist to focus on. The mogul recently signed, Janelle Monae to his Bad Boy record label. Word is that Janelle is one new artist to watch. Regardless if she becomes the next "it" girl in music, she definitely has grabbed my attention in the style department. Her style is unique, and I like it. Also anyone that rocks the black and white saddle shoes from back in the day, and makes it work, gets my style approval.

Here are some candid shots of Rihanna on the set of her latest music video. I am not 100% on what song this video will be for, but I love the outfit she is wearing. The red leather "Beat It" jacket is hot, and has an 80's vibe to it. The rocker/biker studded bracelets go perfectly with Rihanna's bad girl style. I can't wait to see what other looks she will rock in this video.

It seems that many black celebrities are in London, England right now. Ciara is there, and last night attended the Choice FM 18th Anniversary Party. Ciara looks hot in this hot pink mini dress. She is sexy but not slutty in this dress. The color looks great on her. I can see many girls trying to imitate this look in the club. A word to the wise, if your body is not on point, do not try and recreate this look.

Mariah is making the rounds promoting her new album, E=MC2, and recently stopped in Paris, France at the Showcase Club. I have said it many times before that Mariah definitely looks good, but I have also said that horizontal stripes are not very flattering on women. The stripes make her look wider than she is. I do love her shoes, they are fierce.

This former supermodel never got the level of attention that I believe she has always deserved, but thanks to co-hosting a style show with Project Runways' Tim Gunn, Veronica is back in limelight. The girls definitely got their mother's genes, and look like the next generation of supermodels.  My favorite piece in the spread is the red trench coat Veronica is wearing. Danity Kane 's new album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, was released almost two weeks ago but the girl group held their official album release party over the weekend. The party was held at The Bank Nightclub at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. I think overall as a group they look cute, but I am not really feelin' Dawn and D Woods' outfit. It looks like they are about to attend a spring picnic or some other daytime event. They both could've jazzed it up a bit, it is Vegas after all.
