I'm very tired and sleepy at the moment. It all started on Thursday evening when Ken took me out to get a manicure. One of our friends had recently started working as a nail artist and since Ken refused to have his nails done, mine were done instead. It was fun having a friend as your manicurist as you could gossip to them freely without the manicurist/customer barrier. He even outrightly told me that there is a specific pressure point on the hand that would make you horny once pressed, while he was giving me a hand massage. Needless to say it either didn't work or he was pressing the wrong place haha. Before and after shot. The sparkling things on the second photo are diamantes. It has only in the recent year or so that I've been keeping my nails in good condition. All throughout high school I played basketball which meant very short nails. They were so ugly then that I didn't bother to care for my cuticles or hands in general. But since I've been lazy and stopped playing any ty...

Okay it is time to take charge, it is time to display some self-discipline and it is time to capture and annihilate that oozing sloth that's freely circulating around my body. You may have noticed that recently, ever since the coldness had hit Sydney, the only sort of pants I've been wearing are tights. No trousers, no jeans and certainly no skinny legs. The reason behind the consistent wear of tights is because they are stretchy. Do you really think I can still fit into all those skinny legs jeans I've bought in early 2006?!I gained 8 kilograms in Japan. EIGHT KILOGRAMS! It still amazes me when I pick up four bottles of 2 litre water (however rare that may be) that that's the amount of weight I've burdened upon my poor body. Sure, once I got back to Sydney I went on detox and I stopped eating all that fried food my host family ate (Japanese genes are extraordinary) and I did lose a bit of weight. However, after 6 months of returning to the land of meat pies, after much comfort ...

WednesdayWeather: Overcast (11 degrees Celcius).Top: White silk blouse bought in Japan, long gry tank top and white jacket bought in Sydney.Bottom: Black tights bought in Sydney.Shoes: Gray heels bought in Harajuku, Tokyo.Bag: Gucci Jolicoeur.Accessories: Mother's brown waist belt and six layered black plastic bangles.I had a BFF evening with Ken which I admit I partly ruined because I was so adamant in wanting to see Hostel 2. If you are a person with any taste in film then stay far far away from it. The first Hostel film actually wasn't too bad. It wasn't the most thought provoking film, but it was exciting, action packed and obviously sickening. This second film though, delved too much into the human emotions of the killers. I mean the audience doesn't want to see that! The killers who bid for their kidnapped prey are crazy sadists, so why would we want to understand and relate to them?! What made it worse was that the two killers we saw most of were from Desperate Housewives...

But before I complain about the weather for the entire post (my life is incredibly interesting you see), the checked high waisted skirt I'm wearing in this photo was bought in UniQlo which is an huge chain store in Japan which makes cheap but good quality clothes. Perfect for basics! They also now have stores in the States and the UK but it'll still be awhile before the come down to Australia. I mean we don't even have Zara yet! *cries* Do go take a look around these stores if you're ever in Japan, China, Korea, USA or the UK because you'll find all the basics you need. MondayWeather: Sunny (15 degrees Celcius).Top: Black turtle neck, Jill Stuart silk dress bought in Japan & White knit cardigan bought in Sydney.Bottom: Full length black tights bought in Sydney.Shoes: White boots bought in Sydney.Accessories: Long gold necklace bought in Sydney.Every year I get so excited when the stocktake sales are on, but every year I end up disappointed. Unlike in some countries Australia doesn't really do the crazy 70% or 80% off sales. We usually only get a lousy 30% off on stock that no one wants anyway. When we finally do find some things we might want and decide to go to the counter and pay for them, the SA at then tells you that the things you wanted aren't actually on sale. How many times have that happened to you? This Jill Stuart dress for example which I bought in the Gotemba designer outlets in Japan was originally 30,000yen (approx. $400AUD) but I bought it for half price at 15,000yen. Why don't we get fantastic sales like that for things we actual...

I have never tried this before simply because it doesn't suit my body shape, but I was determined to at least incorporate a few aspects of Harajuku streetstyle in my outfit today. So I did the unconventional-way-to-wear-overalls-thing , with the skull scarf wrapped around and tied at the back and an weird mixture of jewellery. My shoes are a little Shibuya Girl though, but if I owned Vivienne Westwood's Rocking Horse shoes or any sort of platforms I would have worn them instead. I did own platforms once, back when they were popula...

SaturdayWeather: Sunny (my thermometer says it's 19 degrees Celcius^^).Top: White silk blouse and long black cardigan bought in Japan.Bottom: Footless tights bought in Sydney.Shoes: Gray heels bought in Harajuku, Tokyo. This was actually taken quite a few weeks ago, before I got into my stressful last two weeks of semester (it looks like I'm wearing a bodysuit!). That day I went to Josh's birthday dinner in which we had hot pot, then went to the city to do Karaoke, and then ended up in Neutral Bay to have coffee. I arrived home at 5:30am but since I was inspired by Geoff's talk of studying, I studied for one hour before I saw the sunrise and finally decided to go to bed.And yes, I like black. This has probably been the longest time I've taken a break from blogging since starting on blogspot last January. Did everyone miss me? Blink if you missed me.Ahh, I knew you missed me.So what have I been doing? Well, I've been studying, writing essays and procrastinating. Probably more pro...

I really didn't think a post about exam stress could ignite such a flame war. This blog is meant to promote love and respect for all cultures. Racists can go gas themselves. And as for the valuable people of society; thank you!Last night I had a rather curious dream. I dreamt about my first crush, who I crushed on for nearly a whole year. Now I say this is curious because I haven't seen him in over four years, yet in my dream I saw his face so clearly and that flutter in my stomach and the quickening thump of my heart made me feel like I was 15 years old again. As I was walking to my tutorial today, I thought about this puppy love crush of mine and wondered how different things would have turned out if we had got together. This year could have been our 5th year anniversary... or not.The thought of, "what could have been...?" is a very bad habit, but sometimes you can't help but to wonder if you made the right decision or if you tried hard enough or not. If dreams do have meanings t...

TuesdayWeather: Sunny (17 degrees Celcius).Top: Brown silk camisole & black cropped jacket bought in Japan.Bottom: Snake skin patterned pencil skirt bought in Sydney.Shoes: Black pumps bought in Sydney.Accessories: Cartier Love bracelet.I had to wear a boring outfit yesterday to go to a job interview with Elizabeth Arden. I had to look more confident and mature for my tender 16 years and 48 months so I scoured through my pile of fashion magazines, desperately seeking those that would give me some insight on interview outfits. My inspiration finally came in the form of Vogue China December 2005, in which an OL was wearing a pencil skirt with a jacket top and a waist belt. It looked profession, fun and slightly flirty. I had originally planned to wear a black pencil skirt, but then I wanted to show my youth and vitality so I changed my skirt to add color.I was a little nervous at first (because I uh, frankly have no formal training with cosmetics and skin care) but the interviewer wa...

Disappointed, I bought the v-neck one instead, but it has proved to be a good investment as I've worn it with everything.I can't really comment on what I did today since I woke up at 3pm. Ken's surprise birthday party was on Saturday. Well it wasn't much of a surprise because some dumbfuck forwarded him the email which invited people to his "surprise" party and other people also messaged him to tell him that they couldn't make it. GRRRR!!! What part of "SURPRISE PARTY" don't they get?! I'm so angry at stupid people. I can go on pages and pages about it, but I won't because recently a lot of things have been bugging me more than stupidity. Ooh, I am shrouded with mystery. Doesn't that make you want to get to know me? No? Okay then :(Three posts ago I asked if anyone noticed anything different about my hair. Most people actually got it right, even though I didn't think it was that noticeable. Yes I got hair extensions. When I was young, in 2nd or 3rd Grade I used play with the hair of my little blonde friends, like all girls did in class. They had the finest and smoothest hair and I would wish that my hair was like theirs; thin, lovely and flowing, unlike my ty...

So I should really gush about how fascinating and complex the human body is blahblah, but truthfully I found it quite disturbing to see real, albeit dead human beings chopped into 1cm slices and displayed on a table. I can deal with blood and gore but a body sliced into pieces is just a little too much for me.Oh yes, I bought a cut polka dotted skirt today as well.I guess I'll begin this post with some frivolous photos before moving onto some Emo talk. Happy Birthday Ken!
2007-05-03 16:26:00
I just want to wish Ken a very happy 20th Birthday . Since he's Japanese it means that today (well yesterday technically) was his coming of age day, when he can finally be accepted as an adult. I've been friends with him since we were 14 or 15 years old, and although we disagree and fight all the time (he likes to think that he's always right, but everyone knows that I'm the one who's ALWAYS right!!! =P), I couldn't have asked for a better friendship. I hope he has fantastic 20th year and that he remembers he has a best friend who will always love him for who he is (even if it's not vice versa -_-;;).Joyce, Alice, Dickson, Shirley, Toho, Tommy, Joe, Anne, Calotay and I went to visit Ken at 12am last night. We stood in front of his house fooling around while waiting for him to get home. When he arrived, we proceeded to throw him into a bin (unfortunately I don't have any photos of it, but I'm sure one of us does). For Ken, from me.I'm going to the SUPA (Pharmacy) Cruise tomor...

I figured they must put a lot of MSG in those Dim Sim's for me to want to go so often.Today was the first time I wore this dress even though I've had it for a few weeks. I thought I better wear it fast as the shapeless cut and tulip hem makes it extremely seasonal. I did get two, "I love that dress!" comments by strangers today though, so that made me happy. I can probably continue wearing this into winter with a black turtle neck and some sexy patterned stockings with boots or pumps. I would love to try out that young girl look with the opaque tights, white socks and round toe pumps but I'm too scared. First of all I want to wish a gigantic HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY to Brad, you old old man!Secondly I want to warn you that there is a Naruto manga chapter 351 spoiler below.Okay I'm going to fangirl a little now. LKGHEO*YUr8yfehcdsklSASUKEISSOCOOL!!! I'd really like to know what's going on though. Does he posses Orochimaru's powers now? Or is Orochimaru not really dead? I personally don't think he's completely dead yet because the battle between him and Sasuke was so un-Masashi Kisimoto fast, and if it was Orochimaru's last battle I would have expected it to take up a few chapters. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see.My favorite scene out of the whole chapter.Apart from that I went out on a boys night out. This post has been long delayed. Blame it on essays.Unfortunately there isn't a Outfit photo today simply because there is no one home to help me take the photos (and yes I know a self-timer button exists). My parent's and sister have gone to the Gold Coast for a few days. I really wanted to go as well but I had class blah. So it has been a little lonely these past few days, I've just been holed up at home by myself finishing off work and reading manga (I think some unseen force is suggesting I get a boyfriend -_-;;). But my parents and sister are coming home tomorrow, so my house will be noisy and fun again. What did make keep me entertained for a while was the package I received from The Ryde. The Ryde are a Laguna Beach based clothing line focused on artistic designs. A few weeks ago The Ryde contacted me and asked me to do a review for one of their t-shirts on my blog, I was happy to do so and yesterday I received this:I'm so happy they sent me a green one, since I don't hav...

I was going to make a nice long post today but my Photoshop keeps screwing up so I can't watermark my photos in case Sharon Tan decides to steal them again.I've been so busy recently, I've got 3 essays and 1 Chinese translation to hand in this week and a Japanese and Chinese test next week. Plus I've been overeating again. Life sucks at the moment. I'm tired and I want to sleep =(I guess I'll update tomorrow... today (already past midnight *cries*)I'll leave you now with the coolest anime opening theme. It's the new Death Note opening from Episode 20 onwards. The first opening, "The World" was a little rock and slightly sinister which suited the first half of the Death Note storyline perfectly. The new opening, "What's Up People?" reflects the craziness of the upcoming Death Note storyline. I never thought I'd ever like a song like this, but I do so all of you should like it too! =PMy favorite part is L spinning around on his chair and Ryuku dancing with his apple. Raito i...

My ONLY tutorial of the day. Pissed me off so much. I had to get up at 7:30am because I knew I had to go have lunch with Mother and her friends after my class so I couldn't look like I spent most of the night imagining I was a Shinigami. It took me half an hour to pick out what to wear, then half an hour for makeup and hair, then another half hour to eat breakfast and dawdle around before I had to leave for the train station at 9am. It was still a little cold at that time, and since it was a size 8 I bought it without really considering if I when I would wear it. Oh I have to note (as I confused some readers in my last post^^) that an Australian size 8 is around a US size 2-4, an Australian size 10 is a US size 4-6 (depending on the retailer), and an Australian size 6 is the very controversial US size 0.
