BTW, I was at Barney's last night and took a look at the new Balenciaga Moto r cycle bags, which are the same as the old but with embellished, larger hardware/grommets in a gold weave (like a microphone mesh...). I LOVE the look but have to admit that for me (besides their obvious cool factor) one of the big draws of the bag was its light and versatile weight, and this new design while hot makes the new bags that much heavier and just over the threshold for me, weighing in as: TOO HEAVY.Balenciaga 542 W. 22nd St., New York, NY 10011 near Eleventh Ave. 212-206-0872

When I find something that works I have to endorse it. Now I'm actually not a big mascara girl, mostly because it all seems to look like you are wearing mascara, flaking, clumping etc. I had heard some very good raves on Dior Show , and decided to try it after trying everything else. Guess what? Its as good as they say. I got it in the waterproof formula in 'Chestnut' (for an even more natural look). It went on amazing. No goopiness, no flaking, my lashes look better but totally natural. Longer, fuller but like they are my natural lashes. I'm won.Available at Sephora or any fine department store.

I Love Resurrection. They have the most fabulous collection of vintage everything, but they are my most favorite and reliable source for vintage Chan el handbags and jewelry. If you haven't checked out their Nolita boutique, do. Chanel Spring 2007 Accessories

I came across this black bucket/hobo bag from Chanel that I am totally obsessed with, unfortunately I can't seem to find a photo for you...If you view the Chanel website under 'Spring -Summer 2007 Act2', its no. 14. The bag below is quite similar. In lieu of that delivery I have put together a showcase of everything else that I love from spring/summer 2007 in accessories. I just adore Chanel's costume jewelry, it is absolutely SO fun and classy at the same time (and I might add highly collectible). Yay, Poutine for everyone. Out of respect for my Canadian roots I had to let you all know that the first Canadian Restaurant , The Inn LW12, has opened here in NYC. It's funny I was actually walking by last week, when I had popped into Pastis for lunch, and was wondering what all the commotion in and out of that space was, now we all know! The food sounds like it will be amazing, I'm looking forward to checking it out. MJ and those plastic kitsch 'special items'.....

So I was looking through the Marc Jacobs website and found under the title "Special Item s" all the weird plastic-y 'made in China' accessories that I saw last night at the West Village boutique. Now I tried to do a little research on this and I can't really shed much more light on it, other than my opinion....the collection of items varied from all sorts of kitschy plastics like initial key chains, "stinky rat" key chains (a little plastic rat w/Marc Jacobs written on it), a band-aid pack/whistle (plastic w/Marc Jacobs written on it), a pen shaped like a lipstick (???), some resin rings (3$), resin heart pins (8$)...and the list goes onnnnnn. A bit strange, it was kind of like "Marc Jacobs does H&M"....In retrospect a lot of his items are now made in China, which to me is a sign of quality going down-hill...poor stitching, ill fit...etc. I don't know, I suppose some of these things were kind of fun, definitely affordable, but I'm just not sure what the point is?? I couldn'...
