Right now, I want to share with you this super cool design from Almighty's which is actually one of the winners of the "Once Upon A Time " contest. The design is all about the 80's and the style of this decade. I'd say... one cannot have too many 80's designs! And this one brings back some pretty funny and embarrassing memories from my childhood...

A couple of days ago, they announced some really interesting news, with the annual Threadless Awards being the most important of all. The annual Threadless Awards will start from this current year and the the winners will probably be announced in January or February of 2008. There are going to be around 10-20 categories like "Most Groundbreaking Design", "Best Gallery Photo", "Most Dedicated Blogger" etc. What I think is very important in these awards event is that Threadless gives back to its community. Threadless has an huge and vivid community consisted not only by street teamers but also bloggers, voters, and commentators who take part in this whole process and help the site grow. Uppity Shirts
2007-10-26 22:44:00 As you might have noticed I don't usually review text t-shirts and that's because of several reasons. One of them is that the text must be really witty and that's not always the case, while the majority of shirts out there have plain offensive sex or drinking related text. And then I found (well ok, not exactly found but became aware of) Uppity Shirts and thought "dammit these are so smart!" Why are these shirts any different? Well, first they're not afraid of being politically incorrect but they're not offensive. Second, they're not always obvious, you have to stop for a moment and think. Finally, because when you visit Uppity Shirts you better have a dictionary with you, and I'm not talking about the "Urban Dictionary", I'm talking about the English language dictionary! Bow Master and Other Winners at DBH
2007-10-23 22:08:00 Today, I received the weekly newsletter from Design by Humans and I want to cry! Why, oh why, do they have to put out one amazing t-shirt after another each and every day? I can't choose which one I like the best, and money (neither street team $) is not enough to buy all of them! Only in a week's time I have at least four designs I'm in love with! "Bow Master " is a must have; the cuteness, the colors, the composition, everything about this t-shirt is lovable and appealing. On the other hand, "We are in this alone" has a mystical atmosphere that's hard to get past. And then you have today's winner, "Goodbye old friend", an instant classic, an excellent design in every aspect (although I'm not so sure about the choice of the black t-shirt). Finally, yesterday's winner, "Madre Tierra" is another amazing, must have, earthy and ethnic design with a classic symbolism and great color range. Ok, now I'm going to cry... Au Revoir Simone...
2007-10-23 20:57:00 Yellow Bird Project just released their latest t-shirt called Au Revoir Simone , which is designed by Annie Hart member of the homonym keyboard trio. I totally loved this colorful and abstract design, simple and powerful at the same time. As you might already know Yellow Bird Project's t-shirts are used to raise money for different charities and this specific one will benefit Transportation Alternatives, a "NYC-area non-profit citizens group working for better bicycling, walking and public transit, and fewer cars".

2007-10-23 04:30:00 I love it when I find places like this one! I just discovered Ghosticorn, a tiny little shop with some amazing t-shirts and I'm in awe. Just what kind of designs would have a shop called Ghosticorn? Well, according to their description "each design explores and celebrates the concepts of mythology, superstition and fantasy". That's why you'll find mainly designs with ghosts, unicorns, and religious symbols drawn in a creepy but cute way. I had such a hard time trying to decide which design to post here, and that almost never happens in shops with such a small inventory. Finally I decided to go with the Ghosty T-Shirt, their flagship design, which also glows in the dark! The Ghosticorn shop is so new that hasn't set up an automated online ordering system yet so if you're interested in prices and ordering info drop them an email. 2007-10-20 23:59:00 There's nothing better than logging in your inbox a Saturday morning and finding an email about a shop that actually worths featuring. That's exactly the case of Supermandolini, a shop from Europe with a great selection of fine t-shirts. I find these designs, thought provocative, edgy, and, sometimes, even disturbing (in a good way though). On a first look they look fun and then you realize there's something dark about them! 2007-10-18 20:08:00 I don't know much about Origin 68 besides the fact that is a tiny little company from England that has the ambition of putting a new design out there each month. Not bad for a new company, but what about the designs? Well, I personally liked them a lot. One of my favorite designs is actually "Consume Everything" (site is flash so I cannot put a direct link), which deals with the lifestyle of consumption in our society and how we define ourselves through what we own. New Poketo Designs!
2007-10-18 01:55:00 Five new designs were launched by Poke to today and, boy, they all look fantastic! Two of them designed by Hannah Stouffer and Rachel Salomon are printed on shirts made with bamboo and organic cotton which is a more environment friendly fabric. Of course "green" doesn't come free of charge, so you'll be paying an extra $8 for these two shirts. My personal pick though would be Star Gazer by Matt W.
