Stay away foods that could damage your skin
2007-06-05 23:06:00 Besides all the cosmetic product, another skin crime is food. Yes, the food we eat. Doctor says the below 11 foods will trigger your skin start hives. 1. Cow's milk 2. Eggs 3. Peanuts 4. Tree nuts (cashews, walnuts, almonds, etc.) 5. Shellfish 6. Soy 7. Wheat 8. Red wine 9. Citrus (limes, oranges, et al.) 10. Tomatoes 11. Hot spices, such as chili seasonings From my own experiences: Soy sauce will leave dark spot on my face if I have some of them while breaking out. Sea food and spicy food WILL trigger my skin break out. Other than that, I haven't found find anything that "works" for me. Of course, skin conditions are different. You should pay more attention to some of those food when you eat next time. If they result hives, you might want to take a note and scratch them from your diet. 2007-06-03 23:58:00 Sunday - Inside-Out Cheeseburgers Talking about comfort food... 1. 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 2. 1/4 cup shredded Gruyere cheese 3. 1 pound 90%-lean ground beef 4. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 5. 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika 6. 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1. Preheat grill to medium-high or preheat the broiler. 2. Combine Cheddar and Gruyere in a small bowl. 3. Gently mix beef, Worcestershire, paprika and pepper in a large bowl, preferably with your hands, without overworking. Shape into 8 thin, 4-inch-wide patties. Mound 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture on each of 4 patties, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Cover each with one of the remaining patties. Crimp and seal the edges closed. 4. Before I do that, let's share the recipe first. 1. 1 1/2 cups long-grain rice 2. 3 tablespoons cooking oil 3. 1/2 pound cremini mushrooms, sliced thin 4. 1/2 pound shiitake mushrooms, stems removed, caps sliced 5. 1/2 pound white mushrooms, sliced thin 6. 1/4 teaspoon dried red-pepper flakes 7. 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger 8. 6 scallions including green tops, sliced thin 9. 1/2 teaspoon salt 10. 1/4 cup soy sauce 11. 1/2 cup frozen peas 12. 1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil 1. You can use any rice you prefer. I don't like instant rice myself. But if you don't mind, instant rice will work too. 4. You can use dry shiitake mushroom too. Here is the recipe. 1. 1 tablespoon capers 2. 1 teaspoon green peppercorns 3. 1/2 teaspoon dill seed 4. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 5. 1 fennel bulb 6. 1/3 cup chopped fresh dill 7. 2 (6 ounce) fillets sole, flounder, or striped bass 8. Salt 1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine capers, peppercorns, dill seed, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Set aside. 2. Fold two 24-inch lengths of parchment paper in half crosswise, cut into a half-heart shape, and open. On one half of one piece, arrange a quarter of the fennel slices 2 to 3 inches from the fold. Sprinkle a quarter of the peppercorn mixture and a quarter of the chopped dill on top; place one piece of fish over the fennel, and sprinkle with salt. Ground black pepper 7. 3/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour 8. 2 large eggs 9. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 10. 3/4 cup vegetable oil 11. Lemon wedges, for serving 1. Pound chicken breasts to even 1/2-inch thickness. Dissolve salt and sugar in 1 quart cold water in gallon-size zipper-lock plastic bag.
