It looks like everyone has featured an entertainment darling over models for Spring's ads. Kirsten Dunst is now part of the clique. She's the poster girl for Miu Miu, and though the pics are amazing (I mean the clothes, the lighting, the colors... amazing!) I have never really been a big fan of her, or her look. I am, however, a big fan of the shades she is wearing in this first pic. And the outfit in the second one is simply GORGEOUS!

This month's Vogue did a small piece on Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's traveling chief of staff, calling her the "polished politico". I, of course, thought how great would it be to have someone other than a starlet as our Featured Fashionista ! On my blog, I strive to empower women, showing that you dont have to be in a major motion picture to take pride in your personal sense of style and express yourself through fashion as an art form. Without taking any political stance, I think its safe to say that as an educated, independent, and further, a Muslim woman working in politics, she does a lot to break down stereotypes. All the while coming across as not only put together, but fashion forward. "Putting an outfit together is a creative outlet for me" she says.

So Friday I made my way to Fred Segal on Melrose with just enough time to get some really hot stuff on sale for 50% off. (Miss Sixty, another fav of mine right across the street, was also having a sale: everything in the store is 40-50%! I scored there too!) I'm going through the clothes, oohing and ahhing to myself, and I look to my left and THERE IS LINDSAY! If you have been reading Couture Cult as religiously as you should be, you know by now that I just LOVE her!Further, she was in the dressing room RIGHT NEXT TO MINE. Dont get me wrong, I am not easily star struck, but its different with Linds. She looked AMAZING, so well put together. Anyway, if you are in LA, get to Fred Segal before there's nothing left! Okay, NOW Britney Has Taken Crazy To A Whole New Level

So this isnt a celebrity gossip blog, it's a fashion blog. Up until now, I havent blogged about the cartoon that is Britney Spears. But what I just read is beyond insane. She has finally crossed the line enough to be reported on here at Couture Cult. Supposedly, Britney was in Baja, CA yesterday with this paparazzi she's been stirring things up with. But who cares, really, about that? What matters now is, she reportedly bought not one but TWO FAUX GUCCI BAGS! One black and one orange. SHAME! We all knew her HAIR is faux. And I can understand why. But: why would someone who has more than enough money to get herself the hardest to obtain "it" bag in every color, get a fake Gucci? I dont know if its drugs or actual mental illness, or both: but she is truly out of control. Please someone, anyone: save her from herself! What a MESS.(source)

I Am Obsessed With Chloe's Spring 2008 Ready To Wear Collection!!!

I'm majorly loving how much more modern, hip, and yet classically Chloe the ready to wear line looks moving in to Spring . The color palette of grey, black, white, light pink, varying shades of teal, a hint of plum, navy... is unexpected, appealing, refreshing, and fun to wear. The light, sheer fabrics allow for the layers we love about Fall to carry over into Spring, and the hints of jewel tones means we can keep using some fall bags and shoes, since jewel tones and grey have been so hot this season. But I cant get enough of the way designer Paulo Melim Andersson has made this color concept seem fresh and new. Some of my favorite aspects: The sheer pant, that's more loose than a legging, and yet more fitted than a classic silhouette...Even the hint of a less sheer pair under this long dress, is a beautiful touch. Takashi Murakami at the Geffen MOCA!

I finally got a chance to get to the MOCA to see the Murakami exhibit, which will only be showing until February 11th! So if you have waited all this time, get in gear and go check it out!I ignored the clearly posted sign stating no pictures or video would be allowed, and managed to take the pics in this slideshow below with my iPhone. Inside the exhibit, Louis Vuitton built their first ever "pop-up store" where they sold special edition items with Murakami's designs and characters. Items that have been selling out like crazy, and are popping up on ebay already! By the time I made it in to make a purchase, the now infamous Murakami Neverfull bag was only available in the small size. They also still had a planner with one of the artists new characters on it. I wasnt able to get a picture of it though. However, here is a pic of my very own Murakami Neverfull!I love it SO much! I also picked up the museum's book of the exhibit.
