We added several useful functions to WebAsyst Shopping Cart online store builder service: 9 new design templates. New design templates are available in your online store backend on “Design” screen. Discount coupons. Create coupon codes and send them in email or post anywhere to attract customers and increase sales. When placing an order your clients will be asked to enter code and receive discount applicable. Codes can be set up for single or many times use. Discount can be set as both percentage of the order or fixed amount. To encourage your customers offer expiration date can be set as well. Discount coupons can be managed in “Orders” - “Discount Coupons” screen of your store backend. Accumulative discounts feature. WebAsyst Shop-Script allows you to set up automated discount calculation based on customer’s total order history. Online editing of your WebAsyst files

We have introduced new great feature to our WebAsyst Files service. Now you can edit your documents and spreadsheets with just one click with the help of Zoho online services. You no longer need to download your files first, edit them on your desktop computer, then upload back to your WebAsyst account. Simply click Edit online link to trigger edit mode in new window. Online editing is currently supported for the following file types: TXT – plain text DOC – MS Word document XLS – MS Excel spreadsheet ODT – OpenOffice text document ODS – OpenOffice spreadsheet

Issue Tracker enhanced

We have improved WebAsyst Issue Tracker using AJAX. Add/Edit/Forward Issue dialogs now work fast without reloading issue list: We have also redesigned the Issue List itself to make it more usable. Issue Description is now more readable, and main functional controls (e.g. Forward, Edit, Delete, Show/Hide History) appear only when you drag your mouse on an issue.

We have revised and significantly enhanced WebAsyst Projects service. Task list is now implemented using AJAX and become as supple as a desktop program. What we have added: Add/Edit Task forms work fast without reloading task list page. Inline editing of task description and dates right in the task list. Gantt Chart displays an entire project picture in an elegant usable way. Sorting by one click in a column’s title. Columns show/hide function. Just click a column’s title to pull down a local menu and customize your task view. Columns drag&drop to change it’s place in the table. Printer-Friendly Version of the task list.

WebAsyst Projects and Files services are functionally integrated

We have significantly improved WebAsyst Projects service. Now you can create a dedicated file repository for every project managed with WebAsyst Projects. On the main page of the Projects service we have added Files tab as it is shown in the sample screenshot below: On the Files tab you have direct access to the main project’s folder. Here you can upload and download files, create subfolders, and organize all project files. In fact, the Files tab actually links to the WebAsyst Files service associated with a particular project. All projects folders are also accessible from the main Files service screen and appear in a separate section  - Projects Files. Using Files service you can copy/move any regular folder from your Files directory to/from Projects Files section. It allows you easily to link files or entire folder to your project, or conversely, drag a folder from a project’s zone. Access rights to all project folders are inherited from the project. WebAsyst will no longer work on PHP 4

On July 13th, 2007 PHP development team announced that support for PHP 4 will continue only until the end of 2007. We would like to announce that we moved WebAsyst applications on PHP 5 platform, and all future releases (upgrades) of WebAsyst software, which you can purchase, download and install on your own web server will no longer work on PHP 4. If you use WebAsyst on your PHP 4 web server, please upgrade to PHP 5 before installing WebAsyst upgrade. Switching WebAsyst to PHP 5 will allow us to utilize many PHP 5 advantages, and make WebAsyst more powerful, flexible and fast.

Inline editing of photo descriptions

We have introduced another AJAX features to our WebAsyst Photo s services. You no longer need to open a new page to add or edit your photo description. Simply click anywhere in description area to trigger edit mode, as shown in the sample below.   When you click the Save button, your new description will be immediately updated without reloading the entire list of photos. NOTE: In the previous version we had separate Title and Description fields. We have now dropped the Title field and retained only one field. This allows photo description editing to be more straightforward and usable. In order to save user data, we have merged old titles and descriptions into the new Description field.
