It's almost a year since I join I.PH community and I have really a very good blogging experience here. How I wish that I could get a paid domain and web hosting this year. Actually its part of my 2008 plans. Maybe by this mid year, I might register my own domain name and get a web hosting of mine so I can start with  "real business" on my website. Thank God, I finally got my PayPal account verified. It really needs a little bit patient (which sometimes I lack!). The following are the summary of events, steps and things that I did to make my Paypal account verified:I applied my Paypal account last December 2007. Another Free Web Submission Directory

I signed up again for a new free account from Free wb7.com and I setup a free web link submission directory [1]. It's currently under construction but it can already accept link submissions. It's not yet submitted to search engines that's why it is not yet visible over Yahoo, Google and MSN. Later this day or this week, I'll try to finish the final touch of the web directory.Since I'm using a free web hosting account from Freeweb7, the directory has some limitations. It can't send email notifications because the sendmail function of the site is currently by default disabled. Another thing is that it will be hard for me to fully search engine optimized the site because .htaccess and rewrite_mod are disabled for security reasons accordig to Freeweb7. Well I'll try to apply SEO on the site even if that's the case. Problems Getting my PayPal

I'm really having trouble getting my money on Paypal . I'm still unverfied because my EON Card is not yet activated, I don't know when. The Unionbank teller told me that it will be activated within 24 hours and i already enrolled to their online banking last week but still my user id is still inaccessible (and it's more than 48 hours after the enrollment). I don't know what's the problem with their system. I tried to withdraw it via xoom.com last Sunday but this morning they refunded it. Transaction can not be completed. Well, i'll just wait until the time comes that I can make use of my EON. I'll update this post when the that time comes. Sigh.. :(

Yesterday I was planning to install OpenSuse 10.3 on my 3rd 20Gig hard disk because I started to be annoyed by slow start-up of my current operating system. Before I started the installation, I browsed and visited Freebsd.org to see updates on one of my favorite operating system. Actually, I use FreeBSD 6.x on almost all of my projects that requires a file server. I was hoping that FreeBSD 7.0 might be released so I will use it but version FreeBSD 7.0 is still on testing stage. Instead I found out that DesktopBSD 1.6 was released this January 2008. DestkopBSD is a desktop operating system based on FreeBSD.So I downloaded the .ISO installer of the DesktopBSD (i386). I chose the DVD installer which is about 1.5 gigabytes because it contains the complete package of the OS. I planned to use CloneDrive program to extract the image installer so I can start the installer under Windows. I've read the news today that Windows XP will be retiring to make way of the new operating system from Microsoft, the Windows Vista. The article said that starting the end of January 2008, Microsoft will not sell the 6 year-old operating system Windows XP to major computer companies. Windows XP will stop being available on new PCs from the end of January 2008.
