Ex-sub editor at the Sowetan, Llewellyn Kriel has blogged about his experience as the first South African to get axed for blogging. Reading through his article made me think about a few things. What a day...
2007-11-25 22:15:00 I saved a life today. At least I think I did. I can't say with absolute conviction that the kid wouldn't have been all right otherwise but at the time it looked pretty serious. Rather safe than sorry I always say. We were at my brother-in-law's daughter's 2nd birthday party. Try saying that three times fast. Islam fundamentalists don't crash into buildings...
2007-10-29 15:40:00 the US government does. At least, that's the story according to Alex Jones. Jones is the owner/author of the "controversial" website Prison Planet. Basically what he's saying is that the collapse of the Twin Towers was not and structurally could not have been the result of planes crashing into the buildings. The actual cause of the collapsing towers was the detonation of strategically placed bombs within the building. You can read more on the story here. It's been a while
2007-09-19 13:15:00 I had a fun weekend. Went down to Cape Town with my wife to go visit my parents and my brother. Even though it was only for a short time period, it felt really good to see family and friends again. I should see to it that I go visit there more often. You sometimes forgot how much friends really mean to you when you don't see them all the time. On the job front things are going a bit hectic. Robotech headed for the big screen
