UEFA Cup, Champions League and Premiership
2007-08-16 15:10:00 These are the scores from wednesday's UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round matches:For me the most important was definitely the match Liverpool-Toulouse 1:0. The match was pretty even, but Liverpool showed that they are the better team by scoring in the 43rd minute. It was a magnificent shot by Andriy Voronin, chested down a ball, turned and rifled in a rising 25-yard shot. The closest Toulouse came to a goal was a glancing Johan Elmander near-post shot which was saved by Pepe Reina. Here's a video with all the highlights:OK, onto the next most important thing, which was the second week of the best football league in the world- The Premiership .These are the scores from the last matches:Reading 1:2 ChelseaWigan 1:0 MiddlesbroughBirmingham 2:2 SunderlandFulham 2:1 BoltonPortsmouth 1:1 Manchester UnitedManchester City 1:0 Derby CountyTottenham 1:3 EvertonI have to say that the situation isn't looking good for Manchester Utd. this season. 2007-08-15 18:40:00 I gotta do a bit of catching up now. But I've got an excuse for not posting anything- I got a dog. She's a black Labrador and she's 6 months old. I've got to take care of her (take her for walks, clean up after her and loads other stuff), so I didn't really have any time to write.OK let's get back to the topic.Today the Champion s League 3rd Qualifying round is taking place. These are the matches:The most important for me was of course the match Liverpool:Toulouse and we already know that the reds won 1:0. The newcomer Andriy Voronin scored the winning goal for the Pride of Merseyside. In the other matches that have already finished Lazio drew with Dinamo Bucaresti 1:1, Rangers won with Crvena Zveda 1:0 , Benfica won with Kobenhavn 2:1 and Valencia beat Elfsborg 3:0. Not many surprises so far.Right, the next thing is that the 2nd week of the Premiership starts today with these matches:The match Everton-Tottenham was played on the 14th. The score 3:1 proves that I might've been ... More About: Premier league
Premiership Sunday Matches
2007-08-13 13:47:00 The Sunday matches of the Premier ship were: Reading 0:0 Manchester United, Chelsea 3:2 Birmingham and Arsenal 2:1 Fulham. The only real surprise was the draw in the game Man Utd against Reading. But both Birmingham and Fulham put up a fierce fight in their games. The first game of the day was Arsenal:Fulham. With only 50 seconds gone, Lehmann made an awful mess of clearing Gael Clichy's backpass and Healy tapped in. Tony Warner-Fulham keeper produced countless saves to keep Arsenal at bay. Robin van Persie scored a late equaliser after a penalty in the 84th minute. And Aleksander Hleb scored the winnnng goal. Although the Gunners scored the two goals really late in the game, I have to say that they had a lot of chances and it wasn't a bad game. Here's a video of the highlights:Arsenal Vs Fulham 2-1 - The top video clips of the week are hereThe next game of the day was Chelsea:Birmingham City.Mikael Forssell converted a Gary McSheffrey cross to put Birmingham ahead but Claudio Pi... Premiership week 1 matches so far
2007-08-12 13:25:00 As I have promised yesterday I'm posting videos of the goals from all the Premier League matches so far (the ones that took place on Saturday). The first one is Liverpool-Aston Villa 2:1. In the first goal, very good play by Fernando Torresand Dirk Kuyt, who managed to keep the ball in, which resulted in an own goal by Larsen. Villa scored a goal from a penalty after Jamie Carragher's handball. And the last goal by Stevie Gerrard- an absolute stunner. Great goal from a free kick, right in to the upper corner. This is a video one with all the highlights from the match! This is the goal from Sunderland-Tottenham match 1:0. The result is quite a surprise. A goal in the 93rd minute by Michael Chopra gave Sunderland the victory. These are the two goals from the match West Ham-Man City 0:2. In the first goal, great run by the new signing Elano and Bianchi buries it in the net.The second goal is the result of a good pass bu Onuoha to Geovanni, who has no problems to score. Premiership Predictions part 3
2007-08-11 18:34:00 This is part 3 of the Premiership Predict ions . Teams from 11-20. I'm not considering the matches played today when writing this.11. Aston VillaBiggest/Best transfers in: Nigel Reo Coker (West Ham United £8,5mln), Marlon Harewood (West Ham United £4mln)Biggest/Best transfers out: Steven Davis (Fulham FC £4mln), Liam Ridgewell (Birmingham City £2mln)A club who wants to prove that young, English players can play football well. Luke Moore (striker, 1986), Gareth Barry (defener, midfielder 1981), Gabriel Agbonlahor (striker 1986) and Ashley Young (striker, 1985) were joined by Nigel Reo Coker (midfielder, 1984). This ideo is proving to be quite good, but the other one- proving that former Celtic players can play football is not that successful. Former "The Bhoys" manager Martin O'Neill brought from Glasgow Stiljan Petrow and Shaun Maloney. The first one is not very good and the second one is not good at all. During the summer there were rumours that Maloney wanted to go back to Glas... More About: Part , Part 3
Premiership Predicitons part 2
2007-08-11 14:13:00 This is the second part of Premier ship Predictions. In the first one I wrote about teams that I think will end up in places 1-4 in the English Premier League. In part to I will write about teams from places 5-10.5. ArsenalBiggest/Best transfers in: Eduardo Da Silva (Dynamo Zagreb £10mln), Bacary Sagna (Auxerre £6mln)Biggest/Best transfers out: Thierry Henry (Barcelona £16mln), Jose Antonio Reyes (Atletico Madrid £8mln), Freddie Ljungberg (West Ham United £3mln)Arsenal without the Champions League? Well, the people at Emirate have worked on it for a few years now. They invested all the money in the new stadium and bought players young and talented, but unable to play in the Premiership (Denilson, Armand Traore, Alexandre Song). When the fans demanded quality signings the most they got were players like Tomas Rosicky and Aleksander Hleb. When the supporters were crying out for a real star, Arsenal bought Theo Walcott for £12mln. The first person, who couldn't stand the transfer polit... More About: Part , Remi
Premiership Predictions part 1
2007-08-10 18:44:00 These are my predictions of how the Premiership table will look after this season!1. Liverpool FCBiggest/Best transfers in: Fernando Torres (Atletico Madrid £21,5mln), Ryan Babel (Ajax £11,5mln), Lucas Leiva (Gremio £8mln), Andriy Voronin (Bayer Leverkusen free)Biggest/Best transfers out: Luis Garcia (Atlético Madrid £3,5mln), Djibril Cisse (Marseille £6mln), Craig Bellamy (West Ham United £7,5mln)For the first time in a pretty long time Liverpool bought a real top player. In the last couple of years they strengthened their attack with players like Crouch and Bellamy (I'm not saying Crouch ain't good, but..), now they bought Fernando Torres. The climate for Spaniards at Liverpool is so good that he probably won't repeat what Reyes has done (complained about the weather and food and in the end left Arsenal). Liverpool has also secured the services of Ryan Babel (he'll replace Bolo Zenden) and Andriy Voronin (he'll probably replace Robbie Fowler), but the biggest strengthening... Beckham makes Major League debut
2007-08-10 12:49:00 England's former captain David Beckham made his MLS debut on Thursday. He played for 15 (came on in the 75th minute) and was unable to prevent LA Galaxy from losing 1:0 to DC United.Beckham, who has been struggling with an ankle injury, said he was delighted to finally play for his new team."It's not nice to disappoint people who have paid a lot of money to see you, so it was good to get on the pitch." said the international football star after the match. He also stated that he was disappointed with the result, which saw Galaxy beaten by Emilio's goal in the 27th minute. The England manager Steve McLaren came to watch Beckham play in the game held in Washington and also meet new coach Frank Yallop and Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas.Meanwhile the Premiership will start in England after 90 days since the last campaign. In that period of time all the teams spent 350 million pounds on transfers. The season will open with Sunderland entertaining Tottenham.Oh and also R.Madrid (with ... Zaglebie-Steaua UEFA Chamipons League
2007-08-09 10:47:00 On wednesday Zaglebie Lubin played against Steaua Bucharest in the UEFA Cham pions League 1st qualifying round. The match was the second leg and in took place in Bucharest. The score of the first match was 1:0 to Steaua. In the second match Zaglebie lost 2:1, but it was a very different match compared to the first one. Zaglebie scored first, after an error by Steaua keeper Zapata, Manuel Arboleda manged to pass the ball to Stasiak who pt it in the back of the net from a few meters. But the happiness didn't last for long. Actually it lasted for only 8 minutes, cause in the 36th minute Banel Nicolita scored from a free kick. The score remained level until the break. The team from Lubin was the better side and they had a lot of opportunities to score. Unfortunately the ref also made some bad decisions: he should have awarded Zaglebie a penalty at least once after a foul by Zapata on Rui Miguel. In the 82nd minute all was lost when, after a terrible mistake by Vaclavik, Zaharia scored f... More About: Uefa
UEFA Cup
2007-08-04 14:15:00 Both GKS Belchatow and Groclin Grodzisk won their matches. Belchatow lost 2:0 with Ameri Tbilisi, but they won 2:0 in the first match, so the match had to go into extra-time. After that the score was still level so the game went into the penalty shoot-out. Belchatow won 4:2. The Polish side didn't play very well and if it wasn't for the keeper Piotr Lech they would have lost. The second match Groclin-MKT-Araz Imiszli ended with a score 1:0. The first match was a bore draw 0:0. This one was much better than the game with GKS. Grociln was by far the better side. The had a lot of situations. And managed to score a goal in the last 10 minutes. This is the second qualifying round draw:Just one more thing not about the Cup. Carlos Tevez is moving on a transfer from West Ham to Manchester United. He has already passed his medical test. More About: Uefa , Uefa cup
UEFA Cup Qualifiers and Rhain Davis
2007-08-02 15:55:00 This just a quick post.. Today two Polish teams will play in the UEFA Cup 1st qualification round: GKS Belchatow and Groclin Grodzisk. The first one won at home 2:0 against Amerii Tbilisi and the second one drew 0:0 with MKT-Araz Imiszli. The match with GKS will start at 16.45 and the one with Grociln at 20.45. Oh and Groclin's playing at home. There's one more thing I wanted to tell you about. Manchester United has signed a 9 year old boy. Rhain Davi s , that's his name, is already considered a huge talent. He was noticed by Man. Utd., because of his grandpa who sent a video tape to the Premiership Champions with his grandson playing. Manchester is trying to keep news about Rhain quiet. They say:" Every year we sign about 40 boys of his age, we see what they can do. Some of them stay, some of them go." But after I have seen the vid of Rhain, I don't believe he is just like those other 40 boys:p Here it is:Brilliant, eh?Gonna post something tomorrow about the UEFA Cup matches. Champions League Qualifiers (Zaglebie Lubin-Steaua Bucharest)
2007-08-01 12:01:00 Yesterday Polish League Champion s - Zaglebie Lubin played against a much better Romanian team Steaua Bucharest . The match was held in Poland in Lubin. Obviously if the Romanians were better the score is easy to predict: Steaua won 1:0. But let's get back to the beginning. During the transfer window Zaglebie has bought a few players, but none of them were more expensive than 300k euros (what is that??!). Probably the worst transfer they have made was Piotr Wlodarczyk. He got sacked by Legia Warszawa, cause he was so shit. Ok Andre Nunes is not that bad, but the others like Thiago Gomes and Rui Miguel are absolutely rubbish. What can you expect from a team with transfers like these?! Their season budget is 4,5 mln euro! (the league runners up GKS Belchatow budget is 10 mln euro) I won't write about the budget of Steaua , because the Polish one would look even worse. Right so we have shit players (not all of them, Iwanski, Lobodzinski and a couple more are pretty good, but still compa... More About: Champions League

Polish "Orange Ekstraklasa"
2007-07-28 12:24:00 Yeah, I haven't been writing for quite a long time now, cause I've been a bit busy (I know it's a shitty excuse, but..). Right so I read the 7th Harry Potter boom in like 2 days:D. It's cool, I enjoyed it. So eee let's get but to the topic which is the Poli sh First Football league (Orange Ekstraklasa). It started yesterday with two matches Groclin-Ruch and Zaglebie-Widzew. The first one ended 1-4 and the second 2-1. Zaglebie are the League Champions and Widzew ain't very good. Now the other match is quite a surprise really. Last year Groclin was a pretty good side and Ruch was promoted from the second division this season. Actually there was a lot of trouble with the teams promoted from the second division. Most of them had trouble getting a license for the First Division and Ruch had the biggest troubles. It was caused in Ruch's case by the mess in their finances, teams like Polonia Bytom had trouble getting a license, cause their stadium is all fucekd up. Also last season a... The first one drew 0:0 with MKT-Araz Imiszli (whatever that is) and the second one won 2:0 with Ameri Tbilisi (I think that's from Georgia). Deathly Hallows
2007-07-18 21:06:00 I just want to post a quick post with another version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . This torrent contains chapters 1-10. It's a PDF, but it's not pics of pages. It's typed and that's why it's only chapters 1-10 (see NFO). So here's the link http://www.mininova.org/tor/797804 .PSAnd yeah it is the real thing:pYeah, great.. this ain't working no more:/ (torrent doesn't exist or something (it's probably been deleted by the admins or somethin)) , I cant find anything else now.And btw the pics of pages still do work, so If you're really devoted.. 2007-07-18 13:02:00 First of all I wanna say that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is coming out in two days time, but you can already get a scan of the full book on torrent (pics of every page of the book). I've only read like 2 pages, cause i wanna read the book on the 21st. I want it to be a real paper book not in PDF or like this one pics. But if you so desperately want it here you go. Right onto to the next thing. Legi a Warsaw got banned for two seasons from all the European Cups after the behaviour of their "fans" during the Intertoto Cup: Legia-Vetra. The hooligans ran onto the pitch and destroyed most of it (goals, seats, banners and stuff). They had a real big fight with the Police afterwards. Here's a vid:I'm really sorry for the true Legia fans as they can't get tickets for the matches now and legia won't paly in the European Cups. The next thing I wanted to talk about was the transfers of some Polish players. Firstly Jerzy Dudek to Real Madrid. Considering that he is 34 and that thi... More About: Transfers , Tran
Back from Holiday, Football, Volleyball
2007-07-14 12:10:00 Right.. I'm back from my holiday in the mountains. It was quite good. Anyway you're probably not interested in it:p. First of all Poland U20 squad lost to Argentina 1:3. It started off pretty good, cause we scored first. It was once more a goal by the exceptional forward Dawid Janczyk. It was his third goal in the tournament (gz). In the next season he'll most likely play for CSKA Moscow. But in the 40th minute Di Maria managed to score an equalizer for Argentina. The scored remained level for the rest of the first half. The second one started off terribly. Aguero scored a nice goal in the 46th minute. We weren't really very good in the second half and Aguero managed to score his second goal of the game in the 86th minute. At the end of the game Janczyk got a red card for the telling the ref exactly what he thought about him and his family:p. But that didn't really matter, no more. The tournaments over for our side,so I thinks it's time to kinda summarize it. Well despite th... More About: Holiday , Football , Back , Volleyball , Ball
We're through to the next round!!!
2007-07-07 11:57:00 Yesterday or rather today Poland drew with South Korea 1:1, which gives us the second place in the group stage of the U20 World Cup. The game was a thriller. Although Korea dominated for pretty much the whole first half we managed to score a great goal after an individual run by Dawid Janczyk. Before scoring our keeper Bartosz Bialkowski saved some very hard shots and also a few one-on-ones. He's a very promising player. He had his birthday on the day of the match. In the second half Korea was once more the attacking team. But we played fairly well and managed to hang on to the score. But in the 71st minute Lee managed to score for the Korean side. Korea was still attacking all the time. But luckily for us they couldn't score. In the 92nd minute Bartosz Bialkowski saved an impossible shot. The game was over and we were through to the next stage. The other match USA:Brazil was quite a surprise, because USA beat Brazil 2:1. The scorers were: Lima for Brazil and Altidore scored twice... Transfers at Liverpool FC
2007-07-06 20:07:00 I'm very pleased with the transfer moves made by my favorite club- Liver pool . First we bought a fantastic Spanish striker- Fernando Torres for 39 mln euros. It's a Liverpool record and it's also the biggest transfer in this transfer window so far. Here's a video showing the former Atletico player:The next player is Adriy Voronin. He's also a striker. He's Ukrainian and played for Bayer Leverkusen. He joined Liverpool on a free transfer. We also bought a new keeper to replace Jerzy Dudek, who's contract ended a few days ago. His name is Nikolay Mihaylov and all I know about him is that his last club was Levski Sofia and that he's Bulgarian. Hopefully he'll be a good replacement for the great Polish goalkeeper (we'll never forget the final against AC Milan two years ago). These are the only big transfers we've made so far, but there are a lot of rumours concerningthe transfers of players like Etoo and David Villa. I hope we can get Villa to play together with Torres. They wou... More About: Transfers , Tran
Poland U20 and Copa America
2007-07-06 13:26:00 Today Poland will play Korea in their third match at the U20 World Cup. In our first match we beat Brazil 1:0 after a fantastic goal by young midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak. It was very unexpected and everyone was absolutely delighted. In our second match against USA we got thrashed 6:1. The coaches said that it was because we were very tired after playing with only ten men (because our defender- Krzysztof Krol got a second yellow card in the 30th minute) for 60 minutes against Brazil, but most of the fans think that it was not only the tiredness, but also the fact that the footballers were too confident after beating Brazil. I personally agree. Now we're playing Korea who have only one point from two games against USA and Brazil, but they showed that they can play very good football. To go through to the next stage of the tournament Poland need at least a draw and Korea have to win. The match will be shown on the polish television at 1am. I'm gonna have my fingers crossed. Also th... More About: America , Copa America , Copa
