PUMA continues with the martial arts inspired trainers into 2007. The Amoko has a soft leather upper with a touch fastener and unusual continuation of the sole around the front of the shoe. Finished off with a low profiled sole unit. My opinion on this - wat the hell went wrong? They come in different colorways and are available in throughout EU & Japan (not sure about the States)… but seriously, wat went wrong? I think they look hideous, the white pair is nice but still, something about them that I don’t like. I think PUMA made these for ARMY kids

Deff - that’s right! I was at the library when I snapped this pic to show yas! My studies are killing me! I got my “Fear in Cinema” paper that is due on Monday and I have a Visual Art as Communication midterm on Wensday and I’ll be busy until prolly next friday with film production So I won’t have any free time to upload your new images on the photoblog until (next Sunday, not this Sunday coming up, the next one). For those who aren’t familiar with the fashion world, Lydia Hear st is a well known model, she has modeled for Prada, LV, Alexander McQueen and so on… Lydia is to make her designing debut for PUMA. Along with eveningwear designer Heatherette, Lydia has agreed to create ten limited edition versions of the French ‘77 racket bag’, which will be called the ‘PUMA Lydia Bag’. PUMA EL Rey LJ & C - 2007 release

So here you have it!!! The spring release of the PUMA EL Reys the “LJ” (the white pair) and the “C” (the black pair). As mentioned they come in 2 coloways - white & black as well a a tri color ring which is to suggest the birth of spring but I’m not to sure about that ideology - somehow these feel like they are honoring the tri colors of the German flag, would be dope if they were a German EL Rey release but that’s not 100% accurate. I would of loved to see these drop during the World Cup last year in Germany!!! So here they are and drop a your thoughts, you will most likely see these drop sometime in March. I would most deff get the white leathers for the summer time… they would look too dope!!!! PUMA has done a magnificent job with the EL Reys and I think PUMA should totally add the EL Reys to the BBQ list of sneaker customization, their perfect, light, cheap price and they look dope!!!

The PUMA Crazy 8 - so what you think? I think of these as the “On the Street PUMA Sono’s with a mix of Miharaness. The 8 rubber outsole is similar to the PUMA Sono’s style moreover the Crazy 8’s have the similar Mihara shape and their “Slip-On’s”. They’re lightweight and covered in mesh to add comfort moreover they come in a few different colors and would look good in the summertime with khakis or denim. You can find them @ Zappos or @ Freemans in the UK.

The PUMA Olympic Basket series

A couple years ago PUMA release the Olympic Basket series which consist of 4 sneakers reflecting the 4 Olympics (Mexico, LA, Tokyo, Munich - the 4 Olympics). 2 of the 4 Olympic Basket were in Leather while the remaining 2 were in suede. To my knowledge I only thought there was 2 sneakers (Mexico & LA) however our very own Puma Talk member “Vitamin G” updated us yesterday with the remaining of the series (Tokyo & Munich). So here’s “Vitamin G’s” images of the PUMA Olympic Baskets. My personal favorites are the LA’s and the Tokyo’s.

If you haven’t notice by now - this month we will see alot of fashion Dassler/Van Slobbe Collection coming out from PUMA. For those who like the European low cut fit (like myself) the Korbbal are too dope! The above image is the original design, all in leather with the Dassler original cat along the midsole. Van Slobbe Boxstiefel

The Dassler collection by Van Slobbe is picking up it’s game for the winter season by introducing the Van Slobbe Boxstiefel boots for women in 2007. As far as I know they are only available in black/dark brown (although I only have the dark brown images). Their somewhat similar to the Nuala Khaci except the style is much more European and the price is much less than the Nuala Khaci. The Van Slobbe Boxstiefel run up to around 230$ USD.

Again, paying homage to a misspent childhood spent on the lino popping and locking to the sounds of Hashim (ask ‘yer big brother), this is the second part of the CT x PUMA Clyde trilogy, with the final chapter due in March ‘07. Again, this one?s dedicated to the b-boys in the house, with this classic b-boy combination of grey and burgundy limited to just 300 pairs worldwide. The materials and attention to detail are as fine-tuned as you?d expect from a Crooked/PUMA collaboration. PUMA RP-43 (Reissued)

The idealists and true fighter, the Styler and Underdogs those around which PUMA often strove were. It was the time in which souped up V8 Streetfighters in the USA that an own race series emerged and became in the 60’s most important national race series. A man connected inseparable with this series is Richard Petty, hence PUMA “RP-43″. Until today, Petty holds the most important records in Nascar. One of the first Racing Performance shoes were produced in the 70’s for Petty by PUMA. Now PUMA has reissued the RP-43 - the nascar boot’s colorway matched Petty’s tri-color racing car also at the top of the Nascar boot there’s a Petty embroidery along with the sponsors of @ that time. By now we all know there was a feud between the 2 brother Adi (Adidas ) & Rudi (PUMA) Dassler and during the World Cup 06 in Germany the media & even NIKE spoke about this rivalery. The biggest question was “Who was going to dominate the World Cup 06″ - by far it was PUMA and with Italy wining the World Cup it just boosted sales to another level. So back to the media! Everyone was talking about this but I have never seen any report like this one here by an American morning talk show titled “Today”, it’s filled with rubbish and manipulated formal elements that totally discount your competence to use your own judgement!
