Sorry - it’s been a good week or so I haven’t updated the site due to major rapage with FILM & University but now it’s the Christmas Holiday break so I’m just ganna chill out a bit and relax but PUMATALK is back in business so we’ll be updating all of you with some new hot stuff and so on!!!! Uhmm - from what I know and I tried to research this shoe as much as I could, it’s a mix of golf/moto shoe. Im not sure how I feel about the opening slice toe. I think the concept is somewhat cool but I don’t think I would wear them. It’s of course a Tokyo release and available @ ScWorld.

The End - my short film!

OMG I am exhausted!!!! Today was my shoot for my short film titled “The End”, (shot on 16mm) which is about deconstructing the traditional emotions associated with death and my lead character is a woman who has been psychologically unstable since birth and decides to take it to “THE END” at the same time I criticize religion on how it does or does not fit in a person’s life under these circumstances!!! So, I been working really hard setting up for this short film inwhich it’s going to be featured @ IFCO Galla Film Festival in Ottawa, Canada. Ohhh yah!!! There are new PUMA freaks on the block with a mix of ass whopping skills! NINJAS LOVE PUMAS is a video podcast website started by 2 NINJA & PUMA freaks - their short clips are targeted for younger audiences, I would say high school & college students. It’s really nice to see more and more people expressing their PUMA Lifestyle - when PUMATALK was launched I knew (through market research) there was a huge demand and PUMATALK supplied that demand. Dassler: HESSELBERG ROCK!!!

I’m totally loving Dassler’s “BAD ASS” look!!! This sneaker is an homage to the 70’s & 80’s punk music & missfits bad asses in society. The Hesse lberg Rock are to be launched in S/S 07 however only a couple of Tokyo shops are stocking them. They are available in 2 colors (Black/White) and in 2 different designs. The boots are nice and hi with mad hole to lace’em tight and one of the designs has a band on the tongue to represent the time in society when these kids used to tape their sneakers when they were falling apart! HUMAN Nature - update

As you know the PUMA HUMAN Nature was this past weekend and PUMATALK brings you the update. Columbian Artist, Federico Uribe created a 4000 sq ft exhibit entitled Human Nature , which was made entirely out of 750 pairs of PUMA shoes and thousands of laces. Federico created the installation showcasing life-sized predatory animals in their natural forest environment and showcased the exhibit during Art Basel Miami Beach. PUMA donated the product to Uribe over a course of six months while he created the concept and design of the exhibit. Uribe, is known for us transformation of everyday objects into art. So here are a few images of the event donated by our homie Gabe @ PUMA. I noticed a few Mihara’s in the artwork, that was pretty dope, I’m totally full blown by Federico’s work. PUMATALK highlighly congradulates this collabo between PUMA & Uribe - well done folks!!!

Hello PUMA & PUMA Lovers, Straight up - we need to start seeing some ORIGINAL sneaker & boot designs!!! So here are 4 shoes we thought would contribute to PUMA’s vision on concept…. as we all know PUMA is known for their sneaker style to push fashion boundries and I believe these 4 shoes are perfect!!! So here they are - I’ll also explain how these shoes would fit the market and sell well. EXTREMELY beautiful design!!!! I would call this shoe the PUMA BEE which is made for speed and for track racing. The shoe design is similar to the PUMA H-Street (which sold very well), therefor it’s important to keep a similar style to the H-Street. The cool thing here is the shoe is surrounded by a honeycomb which is made of a carbon fiber simply to create the contrast and at the back we have the PUMA cat on a full sold carbon fiber honeycomb. I got 2 words for yas!!! Imperial Leisure!!!! That’s right, Imperial Leisure is a small creative production company in London, UK in which work in motion graphics, film, music promos, commercials, viral marketing and much more. Foot Cred is a short film directed by Yunus Akseki. It featured various world wide film festivals. Sound and music by Jude Greenaway (Scanone). Well, this video is well done (even though I’m not heavy on graphics) with nice side scrolling old school images of BBOYS in their PUMA sneaks manipulated by motion graphics and freeze frame shots along with good quality audio mixing. Overall great video clip with a remix theme to it also the video clip tries to fit the PUMA brand into the urban “Sneaker World”, street lifestyle, however the only thing I would of done was to put include real footage of BBOYS in the street rocking PUMAS. The Jungle installation includes predatory life size animals in action and surrounded by a forest. Finally!!! It’s about time to give something to the F1 sneaker freaks!!!! Well here you have it PUMA Lovers your first look @ the 2007 PUMA Future Cat Low “Patent L”. This looks fantastic, it’s all in 1 color and 3 quarters of the shoe is in patent leather leaving the back of the shoe in suede which looks very nice. Also It’s a good thing they worked with only 1 color as if looks more “quality” as opposed to if you colored the PUMA cat in which creating that contrast, to me the style would of looked cheap if they mixed 2 colors especially when you have such a nice leather at the front of the shoe! Some of you might of heard of this film which came out during Sept 2006. I haven’t seen the film yet - I’ll just wait till it comes on DVD, even though I’m a big fan of Jason Statham, I just don’t like american version of Luc Besson films and It’s clear that the director of this film has micmicked established shots from “Layer Cake & Snatch” but in a Americanized film style. OK so why am I showing you this? Well it’s quite interesting, word is PUMA sponsored this film by supplying Jason Statham with PUMA sneaks & gear. Some people go crazy over money while others go crazy trying to save money!!! This friday was the “Black Frida y ” in the Chicago area “Outlet Mall ”. As you see - the 2 images below show us exactly how people feel about their PUMAS and when their on SALE I feel sorry for the employees who have to clean up this mess - I know it’s their job to serve customers but there’s a limit to everything and I don’t always believe in that “customer is always first” rubbish - there are some people who are respectful towards others and some people who aren’t!!! You can’t deny that - the truth is the truth!!! Some customers are cool and courteous and some aren’t but it also works the other way around. Some employees are mad laid back while some are just ignorant!!! Enjoy the mess

Here’s a little history on the PUMA Javelin: Klaus Wolfermann, was a former West German javelin thrower who won a gold medal in Athletics at the 1972 Summer Olympics wearing these trainers. As far as I know only PUMA (Germany) and Japan (Tokyo) have relaunched the Javelin in limiteds. I love the design - the suede with the leather buckle is dope and it’s great that PUMA didn’t tweak with the original design as it would of killed the trainers. Normaly when PUMA relaunch a Vintage product into mainstream is they either try to tweak with the design, texture or make difference versions such as HI, Mids & Lows and they totally kill it… so it’s good they stayed true to this original design and if you be any chance appriciate Vintage sneakers get these cause they are very rare to find - I don’t even know the price check on them - but my guess is 100$ or less - you might find a couple pairs of the Javelin on eBay.de

Counterfeit Sneakers Seized in Germany

Nov 14th 2006 - German customs overlooks the destruction of fake designer shoes in Hamburg, northern Germany . German customs officers have seized what they said could be the world’s largest haul of counterfeit goods, including nearly 1 million pairs of ‘knock-off’ Nike sneakers. The customs department in the northern port of Hamburg said it had confiscated a total of 117 shipping containers filled with fake goods since the end of August. The equivalent amount of genuine branded goods would be worth about euros 383 million (US$ 490 million), it said in a statement. The goods included 101 containers loaded with 945,384 pairs of counterfeit Nike sneakers, and 10 more containers with about 105,000 pairs of fake Adidas and Puma sports shoes. Also impounded were 76,760 fake watches and 1,454 toys. I just received a APPLE newsletter since I own an IMAC G5 and I totally heart MAC and they ROCK!!! Now the interesting thing I noticed was the Marketing pictogram they used for the Holiday season, it a copy of PUMAS pictogram that’s be marketed for the past year or so. It’s possible that the graphic designers (or the outsourced Marketing company) work for both PUMA & APPLE however I felt like putting a little something for you PUMA Lovers & PUMA Marketing employees to look at!!!
