2007-09-26 23:21:00 Chicago (-3) over Detroit (h)The benching of Rex Grossman in favor of Brian Griese will be a big lift to the Bears offense.Houston (-3) over Atlanta (h)Texans QB Matt Schaub makes his former team regret trading him away.NY Jets (-3.5) over Buffalo (h)It's time to hit the panic button in Buffalo, where rookie QB Trent Edwards replaces an injured JP Losman.(h) Baltimore over Cleveland (+4)(h) Dallas over St Louis (+13)(h) Miami over Oakland (+4)I know I'm a homer, but this is the most winnable game the Dolphins have had so far. They will win, but it will be close.Green Bay (-2) over Minnesota (h)Packers QB Brett Favre has historically played awful in Minnesota, but this year's team, and Favre himself, seem to be diiferent.Seattle (-2) over San Francisco (h)(h) Carolina (even) over Tampa Bay(h) Indianapolis over Denver (+9.5)Pittsburgh (-6) over Arizona (h)(h) San Diego (-11.5) over Kansas CityI could get burned again by picking the Chargers, but KC's offense is bad, and defensivel... NFL Picks Week 3 Recap
2007-09-26 06:06:00 I'm in the win column against the spread for the first time this season. I also had my third straight winning week picking games straight up.For week three I went 10-6 out right and 9-5-2 against the spread. My best pick this week had to be picking Dallas (+3) to win. Once again, San Diego and New Orleans let me down. My Dolphins aren't helping my record either.Overall I am pleased with my improvement and hopefully I will keep it up next week.To see all my picks so far this season, click here. Superman and The Flash lead the way for the Florida Gators
2007-09-24 18:30:00 1096 passing yards and a 10 to 1 TD to Interception ratio with seven rushing TDs.491 total yards and four touchdowns. The 2007 Florida Gators are led by none other than "Superman " Tim Tebow and "The Flash " Percy Harvin. The performances in the first four games of the season of Florida Gators QB Tim Tebow and WR Percy Harvin have been nothing short of heroic.Just call this team the Justice League of College Football. Their mission: to protect the National Championship and make sure it stays out of the hands of College Football's villains (more on that later).Superman and The Flash aren't alone. Rounding out the JLCF is Batman (Senior Safety and Superman's roommate Tony Joiner) and the Martian Manhunter (or QB hunter, DE Derrick Harvey). Both are relentless in the defense of the Gators' National Championship. And just who are college football's villains aiming to topple the Mighty Florida Gators (sorry, even I can't keep my tongue in cheek long enough to refer to them as the JLCF t... Tim Tebow, aka Superman, passed for 262 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 164 yards and two more touchdowns. Percy Harvin, aka The Flash, had 123 yards receiving and one touchdown. The game against Ole Miss was Florida's first road game of the season. The Gators need to work on their road game preparations. They host Auburn next week, then they play four of their next five games on the road (at LSU, Kentucky, Georgia, and South Carolina). More About: Beat , Avoid , Upset
2007 NFL Week 3 picks
More articles from this author:2007-09-21 06:24:00 As promised, here are my picks for week three in the National Football League.San Diego (-5) over Green BayThe Chargers have struggled to get the ground game going in the first two weeks. Green Bay has a good defense, but this game is a reprieve for the Chargers' offense after having to go up against the Bears and Patriots. The Chargers' defense will stymie Brett Favre and earn a much-needed victory over the Packers.Kansas City (-2.5) over MinnesotaThis could be the week that Larry Johnson gets back to last season's form. The Chiefs can't afford to not give the ball to Johnson 25 or more times this week. If the Chiefs can get any performance out of the passing game, it will help Johnson even more. The Vikings have been playing good defense so far, but I'm not sold on QB Tarvaris Jackson. It should be a close game, but the Chiefs should be victorious at home.New England over Buffalo (+16.5)The Patriots will win this game, but I can't pass on the Bills with 16.5 points. The Bill...
