A Filipino artist has won the grand prize for the sculpture category of the Olympic Sports and Art Contest of the International Olympic Committee and his works will be on display at the Olympic Expo in Beijing , reported local TV network GMA News on Wednesday.Joe Datuin, who is from Dagupan, Pangasinan in northern Philippines, bested other artists from 36 countries and regions for his masterpiece entitled "Dancing Rings", said the report. I must admit I'm really envious of this cool funny blog. I've always wanted to start my own humor blog composed of funny videos, stories and pictures. In fact, I did start a humor blog sometime ago but I just couldn't sustain posting on it because of other priority blogs. Ok The Pictures Look Awesome

I've been looking at this nice furniture website and I can't help but feel torn by two contrasting opinions. First, the homepage could do a better use of space. I'd rather see everything important and pertinent "above the fold." The interior design pictures are what really makes this home page and I think compiling them into a flash slideshow with clickable images can be an innovative move to fit everything on the facade without having to scroll down.I would definitely like to see the fonts be changed to something more professional. Seeing three different fonts is really not pleasing to the eyes in my opinion. New Times Roman ain't really "spelling" classy. The home office furniture section such as the one with the contemporary computer desk could also need a little help. The pictures are a little too small which is making at least 3 of the images look the same with their size right now. Are the Chinese going a little overboard with the whole Olympic s hosting bit? It may be the case when they just have shipped 8 giant pandas to the Beijing Zoo from the Sichuan province.Allegedly, the original home of these cute and cuddly pandas got damaged because of the recent big earthquake and needed to be put somewhere else where it is safe and more obviously serve as additional motivation and reason for high hopes in the midst of mourning following the tectonic disaster.These 8 pandas are just a few of the 53 kept in captivity by their original home in Woolong. Among the rest of the pandas living in their zoo, 6 went missing and 2 were injured after the catastrophe struck China.All's well I guess. As if having the cartoon symbols the Chinese have already laid out months in pre by the Beijing Olympics committee.

Torch relay organizers have pledged to spend a minute's silence in all future torch runs in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the recent China earthquake. Next stop for the torch which is now making it's way to Beijing it Jiangxi Province. The conclusion being in the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony on August 8.The agreed upon plan is to have the torch bearers spend a full minutes silence as soon as the torch is passed on to another bearer. No immediate plans of changing the route for the Olympics torch has been made. It will continue to its next stop on several towns of Suchuan mid-June.
